The Man In Rage novel Chapter 694

"But that's what I'm most worried about. There's nothing wrong with being stubborn, but you must have what it takes first. Otherwise, it just becomes audacity and complacence. Fan's biggest weakness is this. Xi-Mei, when you get back, talk to Fan. Tell him that it's better to live honestly and be pragmatic, don't be too idealistic."

"Whether one can succeed in life depends on one's destiny, so there's no point in forcing it. Sometimes, it's not a bad thing to be resigned to one's fate. As for the future, don't worry, once Fan's cousins become successful, they'll help him. If it really doesn't work out, Fan can till the land that we own. He won't go hungry."

As the saying goes, people often said kind things at their deathbed.

Ye Guang-Kun already had one foot in the coffin, so he wasn't saying these things to insult Ye Fan.

He was truly concerned and worried about his grandson.

Ye Guang-Kun had lived a pretty good life.

He had painstakingly brought his four children up and besides Ye Xi-Mei's rebellion back then, his three other children made him feel proud.

Back then, he had opposed to Ye Xi-Mei's relationship with Ye Fan's father, but he didn't stop his eldest daughter in the end.

He had been so angry that he told Ye Xi-Mei that he would disown her in a fit of anger.

But how could this relationship be broken just like that?

When Ye Xi-Mei came back with Ye Fan ten years later, the old man let go of all the fury and resentment he had in his heart.

He just said, "You're back?"

And then he took the two of them in.

But now that all his grandchildren had grown up, the one he was most worried about was still the son of his eldest daughter.

Even though Ye Xi-Mei knew that her father meant well, she couldn't help feeling a pain and sourness in her heart when she heard how others thought so badly of her son.

Was her son really so useless?

Did her son really have to live the rest of his life as a farmer?

Ye Xi-Mei quietly lowered her head, but she clenched her fists in her sleeves, and her nails were about to dig into her own skin.

At this time, Old Master Ye looked at Ye Yu-Yan and said, "Yu-Yan, blood is thicker than water after all, so Grandpa hopes that you can still help out Fan whenever you can."

"Among all the grandchildren, you have achieved the most and all your other cousins listen to you. You know that Fan doesn't have a father, so if you don't help him, then I'm afraid life will really be difficult for him," Old Master Ye tried to persuade her in a slow voice.

Ye Yu-Yan's expression remained cold as she replied flatly, "Grandpa, I don't mind helping him. But first, he has to be worth helping. Heaven helps those who help themselves. If he's like useless mud that can't stick to a wall, then there's nothing I can do."

"Exactly. Our Yu-Yan is going to become a general who leads thousands of soldiers in the future. So not everybody is qualified to get her help," Ye Ya chimed in.

BAM!

Just at this moment.

There was a loud blast.

The shut door of the house had been slammed open from the outside.

A bloodied figure came flying in as everyone watched on in fear and shock.

The figure knocked into Ye Ya, then crashed hard onto the dining table.

All the dishes on the table clattered to the floor and broke from the impact.

"Oh my god!”

"What's happened?!"

Just when all of them were still reeling from the shock.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh!

Another three figures came flying from outside the door.

They crashed through the windows and flew right into the dining hall like a bunch of lifeless dogs.

Along the way, they knocked into many chairs, sent the dishes on the table flying, and the boiling soup of the steamboat splashed everywhere.

Ye Ya got scalded and started howling like a dog from the pain!

They finally crashed into the wall and the destruction stopped.
