When Ye Yu-Yan walked out from the crowd, Shin Yu-Xiang's heart shuddered.
"Brother Fan, this woman is not simple. Take Wen-Ya and run, I'll try to stall her," whispered Shin Yu-Xiang to Ye Fan.
Everyone in Yeyang knew that Ye Yu-Yan was now the commander of a special forces team.
Everyone in the town felt that Ye Yu-Yan was the true dragon of their little town.
Ye Yu-Yan was a household name in the town.
So of course Shin Yu-Xiang knew about her.
She was from the military and was even the commander of special forces. It didn't take a genius to know that Ye Yu-Yan was probably a good fighter from her training and she was definitely way better than these men who just fought with brute force.
Now that Ye Yu-Yan wanted to stand up for
Qin Yu, Shin Yu-Xiang became worried for Ye Fan.
But Ye Fan just waved his hands. "Xiang, it's alright. She's just a girl and can't do anything about me."
Ye Fan had said these words arrogantly, but Shin Yu-Xiang glared back at him.
"Enough bro, you don't have to show off in front of me. Ye Yu-Yan is from the special forces and it's only normal for one to be unable to defeat her in a fight. Listen to me, leave with Wen-Ya first and I'll hold her back."
Without waiting for Ye Fan to reply, Shin Yu-Xiang walked out and started shouting at Ye Yu-Yan, "Ye Yu-Yan, you bloody traitor! Qin Yu this, Qin Yu that, you two are really close, huh? Those who didn't know better might think your surname is Qin and not Ye!”
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Ye Fan is your cousin! For the sake of someone else, you would rather fight your own relative? Aren't you letting your ancestors down?
And you're from the military? How dare someone who betrays her own family be part of the army?!"
Shin Yu-Xiang purposely shouted such provoking words at Ye Yu-Yan to make her focus on him so that Ye Fan and Du Wen-Ya could take this chance to run.
"You bloody fatty! You're asking for it!"
It was true that Shin Yu-Xiang had said rather nasty things. Ye Yu-Yan couldn't stand it and her eyes turned cold. She gave a low shout and her fists immediately came towards Shin Yu-Xiang.
Just when Shin Yu-Xiang was feeling fearful of the punch coming his way, Ye Fan kicked Shin Yu-Xiang such that he avoided Ye Yu-Yan's fist.
"Shit, Brother Fan, what the heck are you doing? Are you nuts?!" Shin Yu-Xiang was sprawled on the floor as he started wailing in pain.
Ye Fan ignored him and looked at Ye Yu-Yan as he said flatly, "Ye Yu-Yan, you are not to bully any friend of mine."
"Good heavens, he can really talk big! Yu-Yan, bash him up! If you don't teach this hooligan a lesson, he'll never learn what's good for him!" shouted Ye Jian to egg his cousin on.
At this time, Qin Yu had already gotten up from the floor. His brand new suit was now covered in dirt and he too, said to Ye Yu-Yan in a low voice, "Yu-Yan, looks like I'll have to trouble you this time.”
"Qin Yu, you don't have to be polite with me. Our families have known each other for so long and both of us are as close as siblings. The Ye family has produced such a useless bum and I'm really sorry about that. So it's only right that I help you to teach this Ye Fan a lesson," Ye Yu-Yan whispered back to Qin Yu.
Their close and friendly behavior was so ironic.
Ye Fan was supposed to be like an elder brother to Ye Yu-Yan.
But now, Ye Yu-Yan was saying that she was like a sister to someone outside of her own family, and was even willing to bash her own cousin up for his sake.
There were moments when a relative was really not even considered as close as someone outside the family.
"Ye Fan, I'll give you one last chance. Kneel down and apologize to Qin Yu! If you don't do that, don't blame me for ignoring our familial ties!" Ye Yu-Yan emphasized every word with her icy tone of voice as she gave Ye Fan an ultimatum.
But of course, Ye Fan wasn't bothered at all. He continued to stand there calmly and listened to her talk. There was no expression on his face and he clearly didn't intend to apologize at all.
"You're asking for it!" Ye Yu-Yan finally lost all her patience.
