The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 1056

Chapter 1056

“Are we bringing our daughter back for Halloween tomorrow?”

Jaydon froze and was speechless.

Carmel shook Jaydon’s neck again and said coquettishly, “It’s a holiday tomorrow. Bring our daughter back. I really miss our daughter.”

“Alright!” Jaydon hesitated for a few seconds before agreeing. After all, he missed his daughter very much.

Carmel smiled. “I love you. I knew you were the best to me.” Carmel kissed Jaydon’s face a few more times.

“I’ll call Ms. Haynes now and say that we’re going to pick up Patricia…” Carmel said that as she was about to call Joanna.

Jaydon quickly stopped her. “No, let me call her!”

Deep down, he still did not want Joanna to know that he and Carmel were together again.

“I’ll call Joann. Don’t make a sound.”

Upon hearing that, Carmel pouted unhappily. “She’s already a married woman now. Don’t tell me you still can’t forget her.

“What’s so good about her that you have been thinking about her for so long? You even trusted her to take care of our daughter. Aren’t you too trusting of her?”

Jaydon could not be bothered with her. He got up, put on his clothes, and walked out of the bedroom with the phone.

A ringing sound was heard.

Joanna quickly picked up the call. “Hello, Jay.”

Jaydon coughed dryly and said a little embarrassedly, “Joann, well… I’ll go and pick up Patricia in the afternoon. Look, is it convenient on your side?”

Joanna was stunned.

He had just said that he would let Patricia stay at her place for a few more days. Why did he change his mind after just a few hours?

However, Patricia was his daughter, so she definitely would not refuse.

“Oh, oh, that’s good! How would it be inconvenient? You can come and pick up Patricia at any time.”

Jaydon laughed dryly. “Well, I’ll go to Greyport to pick her up in the afternoon. Thank you for the trouble during this period.”

“Okay.”

“That’s it then. I’m hanging up.”

After the call, Joanna looked at Patricia with a smile and said gently, “Patricia, your father just called. He’s going to pick you up in the afternoon.”

“Is Patricia leaving?” Lilia asked.

“That’s right! Mr. Grimm called and said that he was going to pick up Patricia later.”

“When is Patricia coming back then?”

“Well, maybe after Halloween!”

Before Joanna could finish her sentence, cries were heard. Devin had already heard that Patricia was leaving and immediately started crying.

Seeing this, Joanna hurriedly went forward to coax her son. “Geez, don’t cry, don’t cry. Patricia will still be coming back.”

Devin stopped eating the apple and cried until his voice was hoarse. “I don’t want Patricia to leave. I don’t want Patricia to leave…”

Joanna sighed. “You’re such a brat!” Joanna was both angry and amused.

To think that despite being a little brat, Devin had emotional needs. He already knew who he liked and who he did not like.

In the afternoon, at around four o’clock, Jaydon personally came to pick up his daughter at Sherane Bay Villa. He came with all kinds of gifts.

“Joann!”

Joanna and the children were already welcoming him on the lawn. When they saw him coming over, the three little children greeted him in unison, “Hello, Mr. Grimm.”

Jaydon smiled kindly at the children and handed them the gifts one by one. “Hello, these are my Halloween gifts for you.”

“Wow, there are only 99 such figurines in the world. How did you manage to buy it, Mr. Grimm?”

“Do you like it?”

“Of course I do. Thank you, Mr. Grimm.”

The gifts that Jaydon prepared for the children were what they wanted. When the children received the gifts, they were all overjoyed.

“You could have just come. Why did you spend money to buy gifts for them?”

Jaydon smiled and replied, “It’s Halloween now. I have to make the children happy.”

He had watched Davian, Irvin, and Lilia grow up and doted on them as his own children. “Patricia, call me Daddy.”

“Well, I don’t want…” The girl hugged Joanna’s neck tightly and refused to let Jaydon hug her.

It could be seen that the little girl was very dependent on Joanna.

“Be good and come home with Daddy.” Jaydon still reached out and forcibly took his daughter over.

Joanna happened to see a few bruises on Jaydon’s neck and asked casually, “Jay, what happened to your

neck?”

Joanna realized as soon as she asked that it was obvious a woman had bitten him.

“Well, nothing!” Jaydon subconsciously lifted the collar of his shirt.

Joanna smiled awkwardly and guessed that the marks were left behind by Carmel. When she called in the morning, she heard Carmel’s voice.

Joanna sighed. “Sometimes, in order to give children a complete family, adults have to be tolerant.” Jaydon listened and did not say anything. He looked at Joanna with a penetrating gaze.

The setting sun shone warmly on Joanna’s face, making her look exceptionally soft and gentle.

Jaydon could not help but be tempted.

After staring at Joanna for a few seconds, he quickly retracted his gaze. “I’m leaving now.”

“Okay, bye.”

Cries were heard. “Patricia… Patricia…” Devin staggered as he chased after Patricia.

Joanna hurriedly hugged her son. “Be good. Patricia will be here again in a few days.”

“I want Patricia. I want Patricia.” Devin cried even harder. No matter how Joanna coaxed him, he cried and wanted to chase after Patricia.

“What a rascal. Hurry up and carry him into the house.”

After Jaydon left with his daughter, Devin began to cry loudly and endlessly.

The servants, babysitter, and Joanna took turns coaxing him, but to no avail.

Joanna completely lost her patience in the end. Devin was already so willful at such a young age. He would be worse when he grew up.

“Let him cry. Stop coaxing him. Let him cry until he’s tired. All of you can leave.” Joanna told the servants to leave and let the little guy cry alone in his room.

Cries were heard.

Irvin’s lips twitched as he sighed. “Devin is a crybaby. He cries so much. Of the four of us, Devin cries the

most and is the most disobedient.

“Devin is still young and insensible.

“When we were his age, we were already very sensible.”

Joanna shrugged and did not comment.

Indeed, the three of them had been obedient since they were young and rarely cried.

Devin was probably spoiled rotten, so he liked to cry so much.

“Mommy, where are we going for Halloween tomorrow?”

“Where do you want to go?”

There were only a few amusement parks in Greyport. The children were bored with them.

“Last year, didn’t you say that you would take us overseas to have fun?”

When Joanna heard that, she smiled. “Your daddy isn’t around now. Let’s not leave Greyport.”

She still had lingering fears and felt that it was not safe overseas.

“By the way, isn’t it almost time for Lilia to remove the braces? Why don’t we go to Gaprington?” “I can take Lilia there alone. You guys, just be good and stay at home.”

“Why?”

“No reason. Lilia is going for treatment, not for fun,” Joanna said absent-mindedly. She subconsciously took out her phone.

Devin was crying so hard in his room that Joanna felt a little uneasy. She suddenly wanted to call Bruce. She knew that there was a high chance that the call would not go through, but she could not help but make the call.

A ringing sound was heard.

“Hello, the number you have dialed is unavailable. Please try again later.”
