The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 1130

Chapter 1130

“Joann…” Bruce was stunned for a moment and shook her in a daze.

Joanna did not react at all. Her hair was wet and stuck to her pale face. She was only wearing a shoe, and her foot that was not wearing a shoe was already red and swollen from the cold.

It was a long while.

Bruce remained in the same position as if he had been frozen. His heart seemed to have stopped beating, and his surroundings seemed to have been frozen.

He could not believe that Joanna had died just like that.

The person he loved the most had died tragically in front of him.

“Joann, you won’t die. You must be scaring me, right?

“Ha-ha, look at you. You always like to punish me like this!” Bruce came back to his senses. He had a smile on his face, but the tears in his eyes fell to the ground uncontrollably.

There was no greater sorrow than a dead heart.

If Joanna died, there would be no point in living.

He was stunned for more than two minutes.

Bruce suddenly let out a shrill laugh. He laughed until tears splattered everywhere. “Ha-ha! Ha-ha!”

He, Bruce, had dominated for half his life. Even if he was not powerful enough to dominate the whole world, he had great power to get whatever he wanted in this world.

But now, he could not even protect his wife.

He was the most outstanding agent of the National Defense Bureau. He had billion-dollar assets. However, when his wife died, she was in such a miserable state that she couldn’t even have a pair of shoes.

Bruce hugged Joanna tightly in his arms. He seemed to be crying and laughing at the same time. He seemed to be crazy and demonic.

Chapter 1130

“Bruce, ha-ha, you’re really the most miserable man in the world.”

After saying that, Bruce felt a lump in his heart. He closed his eyes deeply and suddenly lowered his head, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Buzz, buzz, buzz.

The two cars drove over crazily again. He seemed to hear gun shoots from all directions.

However, Bruce did not react. He just hugged Joanna tightly.

After an unknown period of time, the gunfire stopped.

Not far away, Aria ran toward Bruce with Darcy and the others.

“Bruce, we finally found you. We finally found you!” Aria said excitedly. She quickly ran in front of him, but she did not dare to get too close.

The few of them did not dare to rashly go far away from 50 yards.

“Mr. Everett, Mrs. Everett…” Darcy and Carson also stopped in their tracks.

“Could the person in Mr. Everett’s arms be… Mrs. Everett?” Carson asked nervously.

When Darcy saw this, his heart skipped a beat as well and he sucked in a breath of cold air.

Bruce knelt on the ground like a stone statue.

He held a person tightly in his arms. The two of them were like two frozen stone statues.

Aria mustered her courage and approached Bruce tentatively. “Bruce, how’s Ms. Haynes?

“Is she injured? Hurry up and let me take a look at her! She might be saved…”

As she spoke, Aria slowly moved to their side.

She finally saw clearly that the person in his arms was indeed Joanna. However, Joanna’s face was as pale as paper as if she had fallen asleep.
