The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 1173

Chapter 1173

“Mr. Everett, we can’t find a hood, only a clown mask.”

Time was pressing, and the assistant could only find a random clown mask usually worn during Halloween.

Bruce took it and said. “This will do!

“Both of you, come with me, and the rest of you keep an eye on Mrs. Everett.”

“Yes!” The two bodyguards responded and immediately went to get the car keys.

Bruce couldn’t waste time explaining much. He quickly put on the clown mask and hurriedly left Ritz Villa.

Although Joanna couldn’t wake up at the sickbed, her hearing and thoughts were functioning normally.

She heard Bruce saying that Lilia was missing, and her previously listless mind instantly became alert.

“Lilia, Lilia…” Joanna wanted desperately to open her eyes, but her brain nerves were out of control.

“I must wake up quickly. I have to find my daughter. I need to wake up. I must wake up!”

Joanna’s blood circulation accelerated, and adrenaline surged. She was trying hard to command her brain nerves, desperately attempting to open her eyes.

The baby in her belly seemed to sense her mother’s restlessness. The tiny repair cells within the baby’s body also started rapidly dividing and replicating.

Mother and the baby were connected, and the baby’s genetic repair function was at work. Through the placenta, it transmitted throughout Joanna’s body.

“Dr. Clayton, come quickly and take a look. Mrs. Everett’s heart rate is somewhat abnormal.”

“Yes, why is it accelerating so much?”

Chapter 1173

“All of you, quickly conduct a full-body examination on Mrs. Everett.”

The expert doctor observed the changes in Joanna and didn’t dare to take it lightly. They hurriedly approached the sickbed. They were ready to provide medical assistance, afraid that anything would happen to Joanna.

“Vroom, vroom, vroom!” The powerful Lamborghini roared like a fierce beast on the road.

Bruce was extremely anxious, constantly overtaking other vehicles as he raced toward Ocean Park.

Beep, beep, beep.

Darcy received Bruce’s call and spoke with a heavy tone, “Hello, Mr. Everett!”

“Any news about Lilia? I’m heading to Ocean Park now. Come out and meet me at the entrance!”

“Understood, Mr. Everett!”

The journey to the park would usually take an hour, but Bruce arrived in just twenty minutes.

At the entrance of the park, Darcy was already waiting there anxiously.

A speeding sports car approached, and they knew it was Bruce. Faint siren sounds could be heard behind the car.

It seemed Bruce must have run red lights and over-speeded again, and the police were chasing after him.

However, the police probably wouldn’t recognize him with how he looked now, let alone catch him. At worst, they might revoke his driver’s license and tow the car away, but he didn’t care.

The wheels skidded in a drift, and before the car came to a complete stop, Bruce had already gotten out of the vehicle.

He didn’t bother to close the car door or take the keys. He rushed to Darcy’s side.

Darcy quickly approached him, saying, “Mr. Everett!”

Bruce said anxiously, “Have you checked all the surveillance footage? It’s been over an hour, and there’s still no clue?”
