The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 1181

Chapter 1181

The doctors and assistants stood rooted to the ground. None of them dared to comfort him or leave.

The more Bruce cried, the more distressed he was. His grief slowly poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears.

After going through all kinds of challenges and hardships in life, he thought there was nothing he could not handle and solve.

But now…

He finally realized that he had been too arrogant and full of himself in the past. No man could fight fate. In the face of sickness and death, money could only give people a more decent death. Other than that, there was no other use.

For example, right now, he felt completely helpless. If he lost Joanna and Lilia, he would not have the courage to live.

“Ahh!” Bruce was crying his eyes out in despair.

Even though Joanna could not open her eyes, she didn’t lose her hearing and mental capabilities.

She could hear Bruce’s heart-wrenching cries.

Joanna’s heart ached. She thought that Lilia was dead. That was why Bruce was crying so broken-heartedly.

“Lilia…Lilia…” Joanna’s heart lurched painfully in her chest. She frowned and summoned all her strength to open her eyes.

“Boohoo, Honey, Lilia, she… boohoo” Bruce mumbled incoherently while choking on his sob.

When Joanna heard that, she became more anxious.

She tried her best to command to nerves in her brain and gave orders to every sensory organ in her body.

Finally, her arms seemed to be able to feel something and she tried to move her fingers with all her might.

Bruce was crying in grief when he suddenly felt that somebody touched his palm.

He paused and raised his head in disbelief, looking at Joanna with teary

eyes.

Joanna did not open her eyes, but the expression on her face had changed. Her brows puckered slightly, and tears rolled down from the corners of her eyes.

“Joann, honey, you can hear me, right?”

Joanna gathered all her strength and moved her fingers again.

Bruce felt a tingling sensation in his palm. So, he was sure that it wasn’t an illusion just now and his wife had become conscious.

“Doctors, doctor, come over. Joann is conscious.

“Her fingers just moved.” Bruce stopped crying and perked up.

When Mr. Carter heard that, he quickly went over to take a look.

He lifted Joanna’s eyelids and shone a torch light on her eyes.

“Mrs. Everett has probably gone through an emotional roller coaster that causes her to regain consciousness.”

When Bruce heard that, his stomach knotted. “Really? Will she wake up soon?”

Mr. Carter frowned and said solemnly, “Mr. Everett, you can share something happy or something extremely sad with Mrs. Everett to stimulate her brain. It might be useful.

“Something happy?” Bruce’s eyes darkened.
