"Damn it!" Bruce cursed. He was so angry that he almost spat out blood.
All the notables in Greyport showed Bruce some respect. However, the same couldn't be said for Porash because it was not his territory. Although he had business investments, they were not as valuable as the ones in Greyport.
Marcus' hometown was Porash, so he, of course, had a good relationship with politicians and leaders from all walks of life as long as he said hello, the few corrupt people in Porash would instinctively know what to do.
"Mr. Everett, what do we do now?"
Bruce frowned in deep thought.
Now, he definitely couldn't show up as himself. Moreover, everyone thought that he had been shot. If he appeared, it would only cause more trouble.
Joanna couldn't show up either. She had just woken up, and her body was still frail. Coupled with the fact that she was pregnant, it made things worse. No matter what, she couldn't show her face.
He pondered for nearly half a minute.
Bruce let out a cold breath. "Alright, I understand. Let Mr. Jameson go over there. I'll call you back later."
"Alright."
Bruce's tone was heavy as he said solemnly, "Remember, no matter what happens, you must keep Boris alive. You can't let him die."
"Understood."
Porash.
Northshore Hospital, the ICU ward.
The clone had been shot near the chest area. Although the bullet had been removed, the shot was too close to the heart.
He was in a severe coma, and whether he would die or live was unknown.
A large number of reporters were still waiting at the entrance of the hospital.
The police surrounded the entrance of the ward. Other than the doctor, no one was allowed to approach.
Darcy was still trying to reason with these people. "We will now take Mr. Everett back to Greyport for treatment."
