"Hello..." Bruce answered the call.
Jaydon's gloomy voice came from the other end of the phone. "Bruce, it's me!"
"Yes. What is it?"
Jaydon's voice took on a darker tone, and his voice was filled with endless anxiety. "How is Joann now?"
Bruce frowned, not wanting to answer this question.
"Bruce, you promised me that you would protect Joann. Why did you break your promise again and again? Why did you put Joann in danger repeatedly?" Jaydon's voice was filled with blame and accusation.
If he had known that Joanna and Bruce would be together, and Joanna would suffer so much, he would not have let go then.
Bruce's voice was hoarse. "Have you found Aria?"
"No. What happened to Joann and Aria was completely your fault and no one else's."
When Bruce heard this, he took a deep breath but did not refute it.
Jaydon was also silent on the other end of the phone. He knew that Bruce must be having a hard time now.
It was useless to question him again.
"Where are you now? Are you back?"
"No. I'm still at South Elmerton," Jaydon said to him.
Within this period, he had run all over South Elmerton. Unfortunately, he still could not find any sign of Aria.
Over the past few days, he had accidentally come down with heat toxin disease. He was dazed from fever and nearly died.
"Okay. That's it then."
"Bruce..." Jaydon wanted to say something else, but Bruce had already hung up.
Right now, Bruce didn't want to talk about anything, let alone make excuses for himself.
What he needed to do now was to bring Felicity back safely. Then, he would send those inhumane people to hell.
In the ICU ward, Bruce was speaking to Joanna.
"Joann, I'm going to South Elmerton soon. You must wait for me!
"Joann, when you wake up, you'll be able to see our baby again. You don't have to worry. I'll definitely find our Felicity."
