“There are so many ser vants at home. What is there to be afraid of? If you’re afraid, call your mother over to accompany you,” Bruce remarked.

“Bruce, I want you to accompany me!” Roxanne spoke in a soft and pleading tone.

Bruce furrowed his brows deeply. “All right, then. I’ll go home tonight!”

When Roxanne heard this, she was overjoyed. “Then I’ll cook for you!”

“There’s no need for that!” said Bruce.

“I want to do it. I’ll go out to buy groceries later and cook. After that, I’ll wait for you to be back,” said Roxanne.

“Just let the ser vants do these things. You don’t have to make yourself so tired!” said Bruce.

“Then why don’t go over and accompany you?” asked Ingrid.

“All right,” said Roxanne.

Bruce was slightly obsessed with cleanliness and did not like others coming to his private residence.

Roxanne had been living here for more than ten days, but Ingrid had not come once.
