The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 830

Chapter 830

Joanna pleaded, “Jay helped me so much before. I should help him now. If I leave you to die, I’ll feel guilty.”

When Bruce heard this, he sighed helplessly, “Aye, I can’t deal with you. Since you want to help Jay out, I won’t stop you. However, I have to cancel this black diamond credit card. You can lend him money, but you must ask him to for an IOU.”

Upon hearing this, Joanna instantly exploded, “Bruce, I’ll be very embarrassed if I need to do that.”

“Cough, cough!” Joanna was so agitated that she accidentally tore her wound again and coughed in pain.

“Don’t be too agitated. These are all small matters,” said Bruce. “Look at you. You’re so agitated at the mention of Jaydon.”

As Bruce spoke, he went to pour Joanna a glass of warm water and said, “Come, have a glass of water. There’s no need to be so agitated. I didn’t ask you to leave your friend in the lurch. It’s just an IOU. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Even between biological brothers, accounts have to be settled clearly. You lent him money and didn’t charge him interest. You’re already treating him as a friend. Besides, don’t worry. I’ll handle it myself. I won’t embarrass you.”

Since Bruce had already said so much, Joanna did not know how to refute him.

“Sigh, I have to give it to you. You’re making things so difficult for me,” Joanna said furiously and tilted her head to her side, unwilling to continue the conversation anymore.

Buzz, buzz…

The phone vibrated again, indicating that there was a notification on Messenger.

Joanna guessed that it might be from Jaydon. She quickly picked up her phone and looked at the message.

“Joann, thank you very much. But I’ve thought about it carefully. It’s better not to use your money. I appreciate your kindness, but I really can’t use your money. I’ve already sent someone to return the card to you. It will be delivered to Sherane Bay Villa in about 20 minutes. Please take it back.”

After reading the message from Jaydon, Joanna’s heart clenched. She was disappointed. She really wanted to help Jaydon

out.

Bruce peeked at Joanna’s Messenger from the side.

After reading it, Bruce heaved a sigh of relief and said teasingly, “Hmph, at least you’re a man.”

When Joanna heard this, she became even angrier and retorted, “Are you satisfied now?”

“Barely! Besides, this is something he himself doesn’t want to use Bruce said and shrugged.

Bruce finally felt a little more at ease. He had always looked down on Jaydon.

However, this incident made him change his opinion of Jaydon.

Joanna was good at reading people. Jaydon had a manly character.

“Sigh, what should we do about this?” Joanna was worried sick.

“What should we do? He took the initiative to reject your offer. It’s not that you didn’t want to help him. He simply doesn’t appreciate it.” Bruce chided.

Joanna rolled his eyes when she heard that. She knew that Jaydon was afraid she would be put in a difficult position. He was also worried that Bruce would get angry at her.

That was why Jaydon chose not to use her money.

This made Joanna even more upset.

Cassius was not a kind person, and Jaydon did not have any money now. Joanna was afraid that Jaydon could not deal with

Cassius.

Moreover, Jaydon had a zen attitude toward life. He was not obsessed with money.

If he lost the lawsuit, there was a high chance he would rather bear it silently. Grimm Group was one of the top gambling companies in Venturas and had a hundred billion dollars of assets.

Joanna would be heartbroken for Jaydon if such a massive asset fell into Cassius’s hands.

Bruce rang up Gael, his butler.

Beep, beep, beep…

Gael picked up the phone quickly and said on the other end, “Hello, Mr. Everett. What can I do for you?”

“Someone might send a credit card to Sherane Bay Villa later. Please retrieve it and keep it safe,” Bruce instructed.

“Okay, Mr. Everett, Gael replied.
