The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 885

Chapter 885

The call was from Aria.

After recognizing Aria’s voice, Bruce burned in rage. “Aria Bridges?”

“It’s me.” Aria’s voice was indifferent.

Suddenly, Bruce seemed like a crazed lion, wishing he could tear her into pieces through the telephone line.

“Aria, what are you trying to do?”

“I misjudged you. I should have shot you.”

“Where did you hide my wife? I am warning you, if you dare to harm her, I, Bruce Everett, will spend the rest of my life hunting you down. I will make sure you suffer a fate worse than death!”

Aria listened quietly. When Bruce was done venting, she said quietly, “Bruce, can you listen to my explanation?”

“Where exactly is Joanna? Hurry up and hand over my wife…”

Aria pondered for a few more seconds. “Alright! I’ll tell you after you calm down!”

After hearing this, Bruce took a deep breath, suppressing the raging anger and murderous intent, “Aria, I beg you, I’m begging you. Please, you must not harm my wife.”

“Bruce, I know. No matter what I say, you would not believe me

“But I still want to tell you that I haven’t harmed your wife and daughter,” Aria added, “I have been in Gaprington all this time!”

She already knew what had happened during this period.

She also knew that Bruce mistakenly thought that she was the one who took Joanna away.

Bruce said coldly, “It’s not you?”

Aria took a deep breath. “Bruce, I do love you…”

When Bruce heard this, he flew into a rage. “Shut up. Don’t say nonsense like you love me anymore.”

“You deranged woman. I was blind to think of you as my most important friend.”

Aria felt like her heart was stabbed by thousands of knives. Her eyes turned red. “Bruce, I know you hate me. I’m sorry about what happened before.”

“I do not want to explain much. I want to say something to you. Even if I had any intentions to kill Joanna, I wouldn’t do anything to your daughter.”

“I know you won’t believe me, but I am speaking the truth.”

Bruce struggled to contain his urge to kill, “Where are you now? I want to meet you.”

Aria choked and said with a trembling voice, “Bruce, I was diagnosed with brain cancer previously. I was disheartened and did many things I shouldn’t have done.”

“Now that I thought about it, I feel guilty and sorry…”

“Don’t say any more. You, a woman full of lies, I just regret not shooting you

dead.”

“Bruce, I’m not lying to you.”

“I thought I had cancer before. That’s why I did so many irrational things. But it was only because I loved you so much. I just wanted to love passionately before I died, fulfilling my dream,” Aria explained.

“I didn’t want to hurt you, let alone anyone.” Aria’s voice was filled with extreme regret and guilt.

She was indeed very regretful.

Previously, she had been misdiagnosed by the doctor as having brain cancer.

During that period, she was disheartened and lost all her faith.

She wanted to love passionately before she died, not wanting to leave this world with regrets.

‘But…’

What a joke the heavens had played on her.

She did not have brain cancer but a new type of pituitary tumor that closely resembled brain cancer.

If she knew she didn’t have cancer. She wouldn’t have acted so recklessly.

After all, she had received many years of education and training from the organization.

“I swear, I didn’t hurt your wife and daughter. I didn’t do this. I love you so much. How could I bear to hurt your flesh and blood?”

“No matter how crazy I am, I won’t do anything to a child. Moreover, it’s your child.”

“Furthermore, even if I wanted to harm them, there’s no need to use such obvious methods. I would employ more professional techniques to make them quietly disappear,” Aria added.

When Bruce heard this, his heart froze for a moment.

Although he did not believe Aria’s words.

However, her words made sense.

Aria was a biological expert. She only needed a little virus to kill someone without leaving a trace.
