The Return Of His Unrivaled Ex-Wife (Joanna) novel Chapter 974

Chapter 974

“Hurry up and open it.” Jaydon pressed the knife against Hunter’s neck.

Hunter was so frightened that he did not dare to resist and said in fear, “Alright!” After that, Hunter brought Jaydon to Yasmine’s room and then opened the door with the key.

Jaydon pushed Hunter in and walked inside.

The room looked very high-end and luxurious. There was a wedding photo of Yasmine and her husband hanging on the wall.

However, her husband passed away a long time ago.

Jaydon knocked Hunter out with his hand.

He walked straight to the computer and used hacking skills to log into Yasmine’s computer and phone account.

Jaydon concentrated and flipped through Yasmine’s call records and private information on the computer.

“Two days before Aunt Yasmine went missing, she really did talk to Cassius on the phone.

“Aunt Yasmine’s disappearance must have something to do with him.”

On the other side…

Hunter only fainted for about ten seconds before he woke up in a daze.

Seeing that Jaydon was still checking the computer, Hunter quickly tiptoed towards the door.

After escaping to the door, he locked it heavily.

“Somebody! Call the police! Someone broke in here.”

When the dozen bodyguards in the villa heard the scream, they hurriedly ran towards the master bedroom.

Jaydon cursed under his breath and hurriedly closed the laptop. He tucked it under his arm and ran towards the door.

Unfortunately, he was already locked in the bedroom and the door could not be opened.

Jaydon thought for a few seconds and quickly ran towards the balcony. This was the second floor, so he could only jump down from the balcony. Clack! Jaydon opened the balcony door.

There were already some bodyguards running in this direction.

Jaydon didn’t have time to think too much and jumped over the balcony.

He held onto the balcony pole to get closer to the ground.

Bang! Jaydon landed on the ground.

Although the bedroom was only on the second floor, he still sprained his ankle. Jaydon did not dare to stop and hurriedly ran towards the back door.

“He’s running towards the back door. Hurry up and chase after him,” Hunter instructed the bodyguards as he took out his phone and called Cassius. Jaydon had just run to the backyard when a dark shadow suddenly grabbed him. Jaydon took a closer look. It was Yasmine’s nanny Abigail.

Abigail was almost 70 years old and had Alzheimer’s disease. Yasmine had been supporting her all this time.

“Mr. Jaydon, come over here. I have something to tell you.”

Jaydon was stunned.

Abigail could not be bothered to say anything else and pulled him into her room.

The second they had just walked in, the bodyguards had already caught up to them and started banging on Abigail’s door. “Abigail, did you see any strangers?”

“What?” Abigail asked, acting confused.

“Did you see any strangers?”

“Who?”

“Did any strangers come into your room?”

“What room? I’m going to bed now.” Abigail had Alzheimer’s disease to begin with. Her mind would be clear one moment and muddled the next moment.

The bodyguards outside the door were impatient and could not be bothered to ask further.

“He must have jumped over the wall and run away. Hurry up and chase after him…”

After the bodyguards left, Abigail shakily took out a waterproof black bag from under the bed.

“Yasmine gave this to me before. She said that if anything happened to her, I need to give this to you.”

Abigail was Yasmine’s most trusted person.

Therefore, Yasmine handed the most important thing to Abigail for safekeeping.

Although Abigail had Alzheimer’s disease, she could remember everything about Yasmine.

Jaydon got excited and quickly took it.

The situation was urgent now, and he didn’t have time to take a look, but he was sure it was something important.

“Thank you, Abigail.”

Abigail opened the window and hurriedly urged, “Mr. Jaydon, take the stuff and leave this place quickly.

“There’s a hole in the backyard. You can get out through it.

“I’m too old and I can’t help you anymore. The rest is up to you.”

“Alright, thank you!” Jaydon did not dare to waste a second. He took the black bag and the computer and jumped out of the window.
