"So......"
Rosalynn gently patted Wayne's back.
"So, am I still a stand-in for Olivia?"
"Absolutely not!" Wayne immediately let go of Rosalynn and answered seriously, "She was the one who took your place. If she had not appeared, I would have kept looking until I found you."
She wouldn't have been as anxious and nervous when her grandma fell ill if he had discovered her. He might have provided her with solutions to every issue.
Wayne's anger at Olivia grew as he considered this.
Rosalynn turned to face Wayne before laughing out loud.
She leaned in and kissed him on the lips after that.
Wayne was furious and was caught aback by the kiss, asking, "What's up?"
"I'm happy," Rosalynn laughed, "Turns out you were looking for me from the very beginning. Hmm... I like that feeling."
"Sweetheart, I messed up... I should have double-checked."
Wayne thought about the last decade of mistaken identity.
And how he hurt Rosalynn's heart over and over again because of his gratitude to Olivia for saving his life.
"Enough with the apologies, let's go sort things out," Rosalynn gently stroked Wayne's cheek and said slowly.
"Alright!"
Wayne never contacted Olivia, which made her extremely anxious.
