"Lennon, do you remember when we participated in that debate competition together overseas? You were on the opposing side, and I was on the affirmative side," Lennon could sense the disappointment in Baillie's voice.
Baillie seemed to have some recollection, although it was not very strong. "I'm sorry, my memory isn't very good," Baillie replied, glancing at his wife who was sitting beside him.
His wife didn't mind him talking to other women at all. Lennon looked at Paige and asked, "Is this your sister?"
Paige was left speechless. She appeared much younger than expected. How could she be the older sibling?
"She's my wife."
As Baillie spoke, he held Paige's hand, and gently introduced her.
Lennon was surprised: "You're married? How come I never heard about it from anyone? When did you get married?"
Baillie replied, "We just got our marriage certificate recently, only close friends and family know for now. We'll let everyone know after we have the formal wedding."
Paige's heart was racing.
This was the first time that Baillie had openly introduced her to someone else.
But every time, Paige felt very special.
After all, her only previous relationship before getting married was never made public.
Therefore, she had forgotten that a normal romance should be carefree and unrestricted.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Crawley. My name is Paige," Paige introduced herself generously.
Lennon smiled, "Paige, a nice name."
"Thank you," Paige replied.
"Alright, I won't disturb your walk anymore. I have to take my dog back," Lennon waved her hand.
Paige instinctively held Baillie and moved to clear the way.
She waved to her golden retriever and mouthed goodbye.
Seeing how much she loved the golden retriever, Baillie asked with a smile, "Do you like dogs?"
