Wayne didn't say a word.
Hilaria waved her hand dismissively, "Forget it, I can't understand you young people's feelings. But I'll tell you one thing, Gabriella is very important to me. If you ever bully her again, no matter how powerful you are, even if the Jared Group gets caught in it, I will make you lose everything."
"Granny, I promise I won't." Wayne quickly assured.
Hilaria covered her mouth and coughed a few times, then waved her hand dismissively, "Didn't you say you were going to tell Ivy a bedtime story? Go on then."
"Are you feeling unwell?" Wayne asked.
Hilaria shook her head, "It's nothing. Just getting old. Stop dawdling and go on."
As he left, Wayne reminded, "If you ever feel unwell, you must tell us. Don't try to tough it out."
After he left, Hilaria let out a sigh.

Ivy had changed into her pajamas and was whispering with Paige when Wayne knocked on the door.
"Here he is." Paige and Ivy exchanged glances. "I'll leave you two then."
"Good night, godmother."
Paige kissed Ivy on the forehead.
Cory didn't allow anyone other than his mom to kiss him, so Paige waved at him, "Stop reading and get some rest."
"Good night, godmother."
Cory's tone was calm and indifferent.
Paige pursed her lips and responded helplessly, "Good night."
She opened the door and walked out, giving Wayne a complicated look before taking long strides back to her own room.
Wayne pushed the door and entered.
"Cory..." Wayne started.
"I don't want to hear a bedtime story. Just ask my sister," Cory hurriedly said.
