"That's impossible. You can sense someone was watching us?” Fane's claim shocked Helena, seeing as she felt nothing else out of the ordinary back there. She had no idea if it was because she was too zeroed in on Fane and Tyrell's fight.

If that was the case, Fane should have been more focused on his battle. Why, then, was he able to make out the presence of more people?

Fane noted Helena's puzzled face as he smilingly said, "I’m an alchemist, and my mental strength is naturally much stronger than yours. "Then why did you rescue me?" Helena could not help but ask again after thinking about it.

His reply somewhat disappointed her. " There's no other reason than that?” she asked as she lifted her head to look at Fane.

"Other reasons? Why would there be? I'm just rescuing a person, so I didn't put much thought into it. I don't like that fatty either, so I can't let him have his way," replied Fane nonchalantly, frowning soon after. "If we need to come up with another reason, it might be because I feel that you’re not a bad person. Apart from that, you're Daniella’s sister, and we're truly good friends.”

Helena was dejected at that but was unable to pinpoint why she felt like that. She wondered if it had something to do with her giving her first kiss to this guy.

Alright, thank you very much." Helena smiled and tried to not overthink things. She secretly reminded herself that this was her sister, Daniella's boyfriend, and she had no relationship with this guy. It was already quite nice of him for not exposing her lies in front of everybody.

Fane lowered his head and looked at her, noticing the cut on her clothes and blood still seeping through the wound.

Fane frowned and reminded her, "You... You're still bleeding."
