"Young... Young master is an incredibly affable person! He actually chose to sacrifice himself for everybody else!” Before Kaleb could sob, a woman who came with him had started wailing sadly.
“Look everybody! Fane! It's Fane!" Daniella was over the moon when she spotted a very familiar figure flying toward them atop of a flying sword.
Everybody in the forest was extremely excited when they heard Daniella's exclamation and flew upward.
Soon, a huge group of people appeared in this part of the sky.
Initially searching for them, Fane smiled and headed right for the masses when he saw the large group that flew up mid-air. "Oh, how wonderful! He really survived!" Helena was just as elated, so much so that her eyes slightly reddened at that moment.
"We knew Young Master Fane would definitely make it!" spoke a man as he patted his thigh in excitement.
"That's right. Young Master Fane is the prodigy among all geniuses. The so-called First Young Master Hunt is no match for him, too!" A man from the Lancaster family was also extremely excited.
All of them knew that they owed everything to Fane for rescuing them. If Fane did not lead Cloud Hunt away, all of them would have died on the spot.
"Haha... Hi, everybody! We haven’t seen each other in a couple of days!" beamed Fane happily upon arriving.
You! Why are you only here after vanishing for so many days? We were all terrified and afraid that you might’ve died!" Daniella almost rushed over to hug Fane, but recalling that her sister was his girlfriend in public, she held herself back and instead offered him an eye-roll.
"Daniella, how can you blame him for this? It's not an easy task for him to stay alive, and he must've been healing his wounds from the fight. Apart from that, it's not easy for him to look for us in such a huge forest. It's impressive enough that he managed to find us!" refuted Helena as she instinctively spoke on Fane’s behalf.
"That's right! It’s good enough that he's alive!" All the prejudice Venus had toward Fane disappeared at this moment, and in its wake was just a faint adoration for Fane in secret.
She had to admit that her sister had great insight since she managed to find such a wonderful man.
“Alright, let's take a rest here. We should be able to go out tomorrow!” Fane smiled and flew down. Everybody followed after him and landed on the ground.
Recalling something, Helena asked Fane curiously, "By the way, what happened to Cloud? Is he dead? I remember the Hunt family has some sort of rune that can help somebody to fly and increase their flying speed. Did he not use the rune? Or did he use it but still failed to catch up to you?"
"Oh, so that weird piece of paper is known as a rune?!" Fane had a sudden realization but continued, "Don't worry, that guy is dead. I admit he got faster after he used the rune, but I was still able to withstand his attack. I continued to fly after I blocked the attack. Anyways, this continued for a long time and, in the end, the effects of his pinₛ dissipated. His fighting prowess dropped to the initial stage of the semi-god level after he experienced a backlash!"
