"You're asking me? I have questions, too. I'm wondering if I'm hallucinating right now. Isn't it all too absurd?!"
At that moment, the disciples from the Dual Sovereign Pavilion all stood up from their seats. They had heard all of the discussions, but their disciples did not participate, allowing others to say what they wanted.
Luther had told his fellow disciples before entering the slaughter gambit not to say anything no matter what they heard, hence their silence.
However, the abrupt turn of events made them unable to retain their composure. They had seen Luther's tragic scene, which caused them to panic. They wanted to rush into the isolated space to save Luther.
However, they knew very well that it was just a pipe dream. They could not do anything outside, nor were they able to. They were forced to look on as Luther rolled on the ground and cried out in agony. At that rate, Luther could die!
An inner disciple from the Dual Sovereign Pavilion shouted, "Liar! Fane isn't an alchemist! When did alchemists become stronger than us proper warriors?! He's just been a wolf in sheep's clothing the whole time. Who said he was an alchemist?!"
He was furious and reluctant to accept it. Various emotions were present in the hearts of the disciples of the Dual Sovereign Pavilion. They wanted to rush into the crowd, pull out whoever had said that Fane was an alchemist power, and smack them senseless.
They wanted an explanation as to what was happening!
Everyone in the viewing area had complicated expressions on their faces. After all, the result was too absurd. Fane's odds were at seven point five, the highest among everyone. It meant that he was the weakest even in the eyes of the caretakers.
Furthermore, everything he had said and done before had been far too crazy. Even though Fane viewed everything he had done as normal retaliation, in the eyes of the warriors in the viewing area, Fane's retaliation made no sense!
Disciples from high-grade clans did not allow their honor and pride to be challenged.
Everything that was happening caused everyone there to think that Fane was just a deranged weakling, yet that weakling had shed the moniker in just one strike. How could anyone digest the change so easily?
The change had been far too quick, and they were not given any time to prepare themselves before that chance.
"I don't think he's an alchemist either! An alchemist can't possibly be that strong. They put most of their time into mastering alchemy, so they should have no time to train at all, so their power should naturally be weaker than ours!"
"That's right! It looks like he was just faking it. No wonder he refused to back down to anyone. He was actually that strong. Luther was no match for him at all; he couldn't even stand up to a single blow!"
"I feel like their exchange is too strange. Fane let out that massive gray blade. After it pierced into the dark energy, it swallowed it up to strengthen itself. It pierced into Luther's chest before he could react! Luther had no chance to fight back!"
After that person said that, the warriors around him asked curiously, "You feel like Fane's technique can swallow dark energy?"
"That has to be it!" came the reply. "Otherwise, why did both energies fuse when they clashed? It looked like they fused, but how could two techniques fuse together?
"There's only one reason that could happen: both techniques use the same energy. Thus, the stronger power managed to swallow up the weaker one, strengthening itself!"
