The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 3587

However, those people were usually narcissistic, regarding everyone else as beneath them. Rudy had thought that those warriors might not care about the regular warriors, but would at least care about the warriors that were above average.

After all, those stronger warriors were only a bit weaker than those that stood at the top and had significant positions in their respective worlds. However, it did not seem like the case at all.

Most of the ones that had died during the battle were above-average warriors. They were stronger than normal warriors, or they would not have stayed in the deepest parts of the inner region. They were incredibly confident in their skills, and that was why they stayed behind. However, that was also why they did not survive.

Those warriors that stood at the top did not care about anyone other than themselves. They would only call for a stop when they were in danger themselves. They had clearly seen so many of the stronger warriors die in front of them, but they had ignored all of it.

The more Rudy thought about it, the more saddened he was. Those warriors that were above average were all incredibly well-regarded in their own respective worlds. Even the external elders would have respected them. Yet, they had lost their lives there. It was such a tragedy, their lives were just about to start.

Fane asked, "I thought you would ask me how I'm sure that the one who shouted was one of the strongest warriors."

Rudy smiled and answered, "That's obvious. Only those people would have the authority to say something like that. If anyone else said that, they would just be ignored."

Fane nodded. Earlier, he had just been waiting for someone to call for a stop. Even though they were too far for Fane to see them clearly, Fane could feel how rotten that person's heart was.

Fane sighed as he said sadly, "Honestly, those who are at the top are all winners. Even the strongest of the beasts are winners too. The others were just here to give their lives for the winners."

Rudy blinked curiously. He looked at Fane with a questioning glance, and Fane sighed.

He patted Rudy on the shoulder and said, "Just look at all those dead bodies on the ground. Who do you think will get the keys on their bodies? Those humans that were killed by the beasts, who would get their blood beads? Those who were waiting by the side to pick up the scraps? Do you think they would dare? The strongest warriors are all still fine, and not even that injured…"

Rudy's heart skipped a beat when he heard that. He had a terrifying guess in his mind.

He had never thought about that at all, but after what Fane had said, Rudy had a moment of realization. He opened his mouth, not saying anything, but his silence trumped anything he could say.

Fane smiled and said, "You're right, it's possible for that to be their goal the whole time. They wanted to find a reason to start a war so they could reap the benefits of it. It's just that those who were following them had to suffer for that goal."
