The sharp-nosed man put up two fingers. "Two lower ultimate god-rank techniques at the first stage! Three upper earth-rank techniques! It looks like a lot, but it's not that hard!
"You can slowly challenge a lower ultimate god-rank technique before challenging an upper ultimate god-rank technique. If you do that, the third stage will be very easy! You just need to have enough focus and attention on the first stage!"
The small-eared man started to look like he agreed with some of what the sharp-nosed man said, but he refused to admit he was wrong and thus stubbornly said, "The first stage should be the hardest, but I think…"
Before he could finish, the sharp-nosed man interrupted, "Just shut up! Just ask anyone here. Who thinks the first stage is the hardest?! Why are you arguing with me? Stop trying to be smart. Even when you lose, you refuse to admit it!
"Don't forget, you can only take part in the Killing Illusion Array three times. You've already wasted two chances, and you only have one chance left! If you still can't do it, then it's just not meant to be. You might never be able to form a world avatar!"
Hearing that, the small-eared man got anxious, unable to accept anyone telling him that he would not be able to get a world avatar.
Like an angered cat, he growled, "Don't jinx me! I only did that after thinking about it deeply! Do you really think I don't care?"
Saying that, the man's eyes started to redden.
Rudy stood there, stunned. He did not understand at all, so he turned to look at Fane curiously.
Fane smiled as he slowly explained.
The Killing Illusion Array was split into six stages. The order could be determined by the challengers. They could choose the hardest stage to start with and could also choose the weakest one to warm up for the next challenges.
As long as they could pass all six stages, the Valley Entrance Pass was theirs!
Those two were arguing so much because the order could determine one's success as well. After all, the moment the challenges started, they would not get any chance to rest.
Some challengers who were confident with their stamina would start with the hardest stage so they would have enough stamina to slowly go through the remaining rounds.
If they started from the weakest one and used up too much of their power and focus, they would not have enough strength when faced with the hardest stages. Thus, everyone would carefully pick their own order when it came to those challenges.
Fane put up six fingers. "The sixth stage is the easiest and requires you to kill three illusions that have mastered upper earth-rank techniques. The fifth stage is one level higher, needing you to kill five of those illusions. The fourth stage is much harder, needing you to defeat three illusions with upper earth-rank techniques and one with a lower ultimate god-rank technique."
Saying that, Fane paused for a moment when he noticed that Rudy's jaw slackened in shock.
To Rudy, it felt like it was too difficult, and it was only the fourth stage!
