At that moment, Marth looked like he was going crazy from anger. He glared at Lourain viciously. Lourain would not back down either.
The two of them glared at each other hatefully, as if they were mortal enemies.
The hatred in their hearts had reached its limit. Marth narrowed his eyes, raising his sword as well. With Lourain in front of him, all his focus was on him.
From the moment he met Lourain, the two of them never got along. They always fought each other and had countless arguments as well. Marth felt like he never hated a person so much in his life. If he could, he wanted to skin Lourain alive.
Marth shouted, "Don't think I can't kill you, Lourain. You can't anger me more than I already am. Even if I have to put my life on the line, I won't let you get through this easily! I'm no weaker than you in a battle to the death!"
As he said that, Marth seemed to radiate with frustration. Lourain narrowed his eyes as he looked at Marth in disdain. He had a hint of mockery in his eyes as well.
"Who do you think you are? Do you think I won't put my life on the line if you're doing that? At the end of the day, you're still weaker than me—that's something you cannot change! You're a warrior from a third-grade world as well, so what kind of trump card could you have? All of the warriors from second-grade worlds have ours. You're no match for my sixth stance at all!"
Marth exploded in anger. "Sixth stance? Do you think I'm an idiot? You're barely able to use your sixth stance. That's just a sorry bluff, so stop acting like you got it!"
Lourain gritted his teeth. "Very well! You dare belittle me?! I'll show you the difference between us! Even if you kneel and beg me, I won't forgive you!"
The two of them were already arguing to the point where the atmosphere was tense. They already hated each other in the first place, but losing their temper made it much worse. If Fane was not there, they might have started fighting!
Fane frowned and remained silent the whole time. His cold eyes observed Marth and Lourain. At that moment, He was very frustrated. Not only were these two of no help, but they were slowing him down too!
Even at this point, they were arguing to a point where it seemed irreconcilable!
Fane's hands shook slightly, feeling like he was losing his temper like he never had before. These two always quarreled like they were old ladies. It frustrated him so much that he wanted to slap them.
Frowning, Fane snapped, "You two are so annoying! Shut up, now! Even at this juncture, you're still quarreling so much. What's the point?! You won't accomplish anything, and all you'll do is make the situation worse!"
Fane's shout caused them to shut their mouths for the moment, but they still glared pointedly at each other, wanting to rip each other apart.
Fane had thought that his warning shout calmed both men, yet Marth, who typically would avoid trouble, looked like he was a different person. In just a few moments, he spoke again, "Fane, you can't let him off. Just listen to what he says. He doesn't think we're worth his notice at all. He always puts himself on such a high pedestal. You've clearly shown how strong warriors from third-grade worlds can be, but he still keeps himself blind to that!"
