Fane laughed and nodded. Those people had a huge misconception of things. All of them felt like Fane was just acting that way because he was unable to drop his act. They felt like Fane did not want to die, but already committed too much to the act.
That was why Randall felt like the provocation would force Fane to agree. However, Fane had never changed his plans due to what others thought before. He had planned on signing up the whole time. His goal was something everyone there could only dream of.
Of course, he would not voice his thoughts. Fane did not care what those people thought of him at all. They could say and think whatever they wanted to. Fane did not have any intentions of explaining himself.
Randall's lips curled up as he looked at Fane coldly. He tried very hard to detect fear that was being forcibly suppressed from Fane's calm expression. However, he failed to see anything even after a long time.
Randall clenched his teeth and said in a low voice, "He really is good at acting!" That man's acting skills were amazing. Normally, anyone would have some degree of emotion that they failed to suppress. At the very least, they would have some traces of emotion that shows.
However, Fane seemed to be completely calm, as if nothing that was happening was related to him at all. All the danger that was in front of him did not concern him.
Randall's lips twitched. He really wanted to rush over to rip that man's face off, revealing all the man's fear and guilt. Yet, he was not able to do that. After all, they were in a restricted area. The moment he attacked, his life would be at risk. It was naturally not worth risking his life for someone who only knew to put on an act!
However, he was starting to lose control of himself just watching Fane do whatever Fane wanted in front of him.
Randall took a deep breath and said coldly, "Don't think that we can't tell what you're actually thinking. Your act will crumble eventually. I'm just curious, are you really not worried at all?
"Since you already agreed, then if you think you can somehow salvage your dignity by finding some excuse to refuse later on, you'd be sorely mistaken! You'll be thoroughly humiliated in front of everyone! It won't be simply just humiliation either!"
Randall was really eager to see what he wanted from Fane's expression. He was just constantly trying to cut off every path of retreat Fane had. Then, no matter what excuse he had, no one would be on his side. Everyone would just laugh at him.
It was obvious that Fane was doing everything for the sake of his dignity. Someone who was as prideful as that would definitely not be willing to suffer such a fate. He would pay a price for his mouth. Just thinking about that, Randall's lips curled up. There was a sinister look in his eyes.
That man had trampled over the honor of Star Continent. Just for the sake of his own pride, that man had actually mocked Randall so viciously. Randall had never felt so wrong in his life. No one had ever dared to speak to him like that. The moment they were on stage, the beast would be completely forgotten. He would deal with the man first.
