Fane laughed, "I'm just laughing because I can, it has nothing to do with you!"
Rowan said coldly, "Oh please! Do you think we're idiots here? Don't you think I know you're laughing at us?"
Fane raised an eyebrow and actually nodded to admit it. He really had been laughing at the two of them. Fane's tone was relaxed as if he was talking about nothing special at all.
"In the first place, not everyone thinks that he was that important! Also, a lot of people can tell that, without the others there, there would be no way Percy could have left behind so many slashes. His strongest attack had relied on those slashes he left behind!
"Also, the strike that heavily injured the purple-feathered beast had not been just his Void Blade alone–everyone else attacked as well! Only the last attack had been done by him. If he had relied on himself the whole time, then even ten Life Points would have been fine, but this was clearly a product of everyone's hard work. The others had been incredibly important in tying the beast up. Without the other participants, he would never have won!"
The moment he said that, the surroundings turned quiet. Even though everyone had felt that the masked man was off in the head, everything he had just said was agreed by quite a lot of the warriors there.
Quite a few of them nodded quietly, feeling like Fane's analysis was right. Percy looked like he had been incredibly important, but without the others, Percy would not have been able to kill the purple-feathered beast. He would not have been able to even use his strongest attack! Rowan was breathing heavily from the anger. His expression was completely sour. He really did hate Fane!
"What a load of crap! Even though they managed to hold the beast off, it's still not worth fifty percent! Percy should have been able to get seven Life Points!"
At that moment, Rowan no longer cared if what he said would cause any trouble. Rowan felt like he would be suffocated if he did not say anything!
Even if he was not, he would be too infuriated by Fane! When Fane heard that, he started to laugh. This time, he was clearly mocking Rowan. Rowan almost fainted from the anger. He clenched his teeth so hard it looked like he wanted to bite Fane.
However, they were still in a restricted area, so he had to push back all his anger. He stared at Fane with widened eyes, looking like an angered dog. No matter how fierce Rowan looked, Fane was not affected at all.
Fane laughed and said, "Don't you think it's such a joke? Even though they managed to hold the beast back, they didn't even contribute fifty percent? Do you think we can't tell what you're thinking? The Capture Hall's results are completely fair. The rules can clearly see that little trick of yours!"
Fane had deliberately raised his voice when he said that. Practically everyone heard it clearly. Quite a few of them were stunned. Why was Fane saying they were trying to pull a trick? Fane had been the center of attention in the first place, but he started to draw even more attention.
Even Percy looked over. From the start, Fane had remained calm the whole time. No matter how many people looked at him, Fane's expression never changed.
Nymm frowned, "Brat, you're not just arrogant, but you're trying to smear us as well? What trick are you trying to play?! You better tell me clearly right now! Otherwise, I'll rip your mouth off today!"
