Fane chose a corner to stand before he immediately shut his eyes to rest, blocking out all the looks of interest he was getting. Until the battle ended, he did not want to waste time with any more conversations. Fane just wanted some peace and quiet, but it seemed like those around him did not.
Hamish immediately scoffed at Fane and said, "I've never seen anyone as crazy and suicidal as you. I never had much of a grudge against you, but you never think about your words! I'll make sure you pay the price today!"
Fane took a deep breath, not even wanting to bother opening his eyes. He knew that Hamish would take every chance he could to show off. Just from how he had spoken earlier, Fane could tell that Hamish would not stop at a few words!
With that thought in mind, Fane decided to just open his eyes. There were some things that he could not avoid, and would have to face head-on. The moment he opened his eyes, he immediately saw the other participants looking at him with interest and amusement, as if they were waiting for a good show.
Rowan in particular was already sure of Fane's fate. He seemed incredibly excited.
Fane scoffed as he helplessly turned to look at Hamish, "Is being someone else's dog really that fun? You're even trying to act principled here. Don't you think it's such a joke?"
Hamish's expression darkened as he cursed at Fanet! Fane's words were agreed on by all the spectators. They immediately started to laugh at Hamish.
Hamish glared at Fane viciously, "Brat! From now on, we're mortal enemies! I'll make sure to skin you alive!"
Fane raised an eyebrow and nonchalantly looked at Hamish, "Randall and Rowan agreed to show you mercy, which is why they aren't attacking right now, but I never agreed to that! While the bets are being placed, I'll make sure to personally beat you up!"
The moment he said that, he took out an ax from his storage. The ax was about two meters long, and countless runes on it glowed coldly. Hamish clenched his teeth and glared at Fane, "Die!"
After the barrier went up, the stage was no longer a restricted area. Only when the barrier went down would the restrictions be back in place. The ancient hero had probably never expected the time between the barrier being up and the beast appearing to be a place for people to settle their grievances.
After all, most of those who signed up had the goal of killing an incredibly strong beast. They were all temporary teammates! However, this was a special situation. The moment they signed up, three of the participants had other goals!
Nymm frowned from the spectator stands, "Percy, will things go bad if he does this? They'll use up their true energy fighting like this, and they won't be in a good condition to fight the beast."
That purple-feathered beast from earlier had been incredibly hard to deal with. It had managed to survive several battles. Even though the beast this time was probably not as strong, it was all unknown until it appeared. If it ended up being incredibly strong, and they lost one person while another used up a lot of energy, then it would not be good for the battle.
