The plump man could not help but purse his lips, "Greene, others might be afraid of you, but I'm not! Aren't you just taking advantage of the fact that your fellow disciple is a warrior at the peak? Mine is too! Let's see whos' more important!"
Greene got quite angry as he stared right at the plump man. The two of them looked like two roosters that were about to fight. If they were not in a restricted area, a brawl would have broken out.
Fane looked up into the sky. This place was similar to the plaza from before. There was a large scroll in the middle with all the rules written down as well. Fane read the rules and immediately frowned.
"With my luck, I might end up with an empty box. Wouldn't all my efforts be wasted?" Fane said helplessly.
There were seven stages in the middle of the hall, and all seven stages had differently prized wooden boxes. The wooden boxes all had different colors, and the points required for them were all different. The higher the stage the box was in, the more points were needed.
However, the rules there were meant for lucky people. The more points one had, the better the boxes they obtained would be. However, it was not a definite thing that the boxes they got would contain valuable treasures.
There was a chance the expensive boxes contained cheap goods. The place operated based on luck. However, the boxes that were worth more points had an incredibly high chance of having very valuable treasures!
In the end, whether the wooden box had treasures or trash was all down to luck.
When he saw those rules, Lourain widened his mouth and said nothing for a long time. He turned to look at Fane, "Now's my chance to change my fate…"
Fane nodded with a smile. Fane did not think he was that lucky, but with the results in the White Abyss, he felt like Lourain was probably luckier than he was.
Lourain took a deep breath, "I thought that the chance to change my destiny in the Radiant Hall was just a hoax–I can't believe it actually exists!"
The more Lourain thought about it, the more emotional he got. He thought that there would be no way he would ever follow Fane's footsteps in his life, but the chance had finally arrived. It was right in front of him!
Fane was so emotional he did not know what to say. Fane turned to look at everyone there and found that most of the regular warriors there had the same expression as Lourain.
Places like these excite regular warriors the most. The warriors that were already talented and skilled had taken up all the best resources and the best training in the Whirling World, while the rest of them were tossed even further away.
Yet, this place finally offered them a chance to make up for the gap. As long as they seized the chance, they would be able to change their destinies!
However, it was all down to luck. Those that were lucky could change their fates, but those that were not could end up with nothing.
After the plump man argued with Greene some more, he started to get incredibly frustrated. The twenty-seven points that he had fought so hard to get had all just slipped away.
"These pills are only worth fifteen million spirit crystals in the outside world at most! It's a lowly toy, but I spent twenty-seven points on it! I just…" The plump man could not take it anymore. He could not believe that his luck was so bad.
