Jennifer snorted and said, “I didn't expect this from you, Donald. You've really grown some guts, daring to play the hero and save the damsel in distress right under the nose of the mercenaries.”

Donald quickly replied, “I wouldn't say I played the hero and saved the damsel in distress. All I did was make a phone call to the police. Even if it was a heroic rescue, it's the soldiers who came to help that should be thanked.”

She pondered for a moment, then picked up the memento in her hand and began to examine it closely.

She unzipped the small zipper and immediately pulled out a strip of paper from inside.

This piece of paper didn't contain any information, just a phone number.

“It seems that even though you didn't leave your contact information, she can't let you go and left a way for you to get in touch.”

After seeing this note, Donald was completely baffled.
