“You got lucky today, country boy, but next time won’t be so easy. We’re not done yet!” Jennifer declared, 

then clacked away in her high heels. 

Seeing Daniel make no move to stop her, Jessica asked sternly, “You’re just letting her walk away?”

Exasperated, Jessica muttered, “You…”
