When Amelia said this, that emotionless face finally had a bit of a ripple, her face covered with a smirk as she shot Kaley a sarcastic smile.
"No!" Kaley snapped at her angrily. "How dare you call me a mistress?"
"Well, if you're not a mistress, how come you're so clingy to her husband and shamelessly use their shared property? Not to mention running around like a dog causing trouble?" Amelia said, one hand in her white coat pockets and an innocent expression on her baby face despite her harsh words.
"I get it now, you're not even as good as a mistress. At least mistresses have some status..." Amelia trailed off, glancing towards Brett, her smile deepening.
Brett sternly said, "Dr. Amelia, please watch your words."
"I'll give your words right back to you," Amelia retorted without hesitation. "Some people have such poor judgment, not even knowing who's friend or foe around them. Don't you think so, President Windham?"
She gave Brett a light smile.
Brett's eyes flashed with an ominous light, clearly angry.
Kaley suddenly stepped forward, her voice shrill. "What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you know how to respect others? I'll get you kicked out by the dean!"
Amelia's face held a smile, but her eyes were devoid of amusement. "Sure, go ahead. But before you get me kicked out, let's deal with your slander of Izabella first. You said she tried to kill you, but I want to know: how could she have the strength to do it after having a miscarriage? And if she wanted to kill you, why are you unharmed while she's injured?"
Kaley's face stiffened. "That's because I dodged in time, so she didn't hurt me."
Amelia countered, "Really? Then why did I hear the nurses who were there say you hid in Brett's arms looking injured? Are you pretending just to frame Izabella?"
