Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 133

"Lucas, look at your sister, can't I even tell the truth?"

"Izabella, mind your own business! What gives you the right to criticize others?" Lucas snapped back, "What she said is true. If you hadn't blabbed about me to Grandpa before he died, the Salotti Group would be mine, and we wouldn't be bankrupt now!"

Izabella seemed not to hear this remark, and continued to mock the woman with a faint smile on her face - a smile that somehow conveyed a chilling arrogance.

Seeing her attitude, Lucas gritted his teeth in anger. "Cut the act, Izabella, I'm your brother, show some respect!"

Izabella scoffed, "So, you finally remember that you're my brother."

"Lucas, I've got to wonder if messing around with women has made you lose your mind. You keep saying that it was me that stole your position, but why don't you ask yourself, are you even capable of living up to what you have? Grandpa gave you a chance, but you didn't cherish it. Instead, you squandered the money on women and gambling, and lost everything. He tried to teach you how to run a business, but did you ever listen?!"

"For six years, I managed the Salotti Group. I held up the company in real estate, jewelry, construction materials... I did everything! And it wasn't Grandpa who appointed me as the president, it was the shareholders who voted for me. If you don't believe me, call them up and ask how many votes I got, and how many you got!"

At seventeen, Izabella was unanimously elected the highest decision-maker of the Salotti Group, while Lucas garnered no votes, being regarded as worthless mud.

If it wasn't for her efforts in the Salotti Group, Lucas wouldn't have a penny to his name.

She worked hard to make money, only to feed an ungrateful brat!

When Izabella first took the reins, she feared that people would look down on her, so she enforced her decisions firmly and without mercy. And she didn't care about connections or relationships---either follow her or prove your worth.

Many people thought her methods were too sharp, not diplomatic enough.
