Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 187

Izabella couldn't help but cough when she smelled the smell of cigarette coming from Brett, coughing so hard that her eyes filled with tears.

Brett got up, "I'll contact the lawyer right away and have him come over." After saying that, he left the room.

Izabella watched his retreating figure, gently wiping away her tears, feeling so cold. It wasn't even winter yet, but she felt chilled to the bone.

She didn't want to cry, but the harder she wiped her tears, the more came out. She covered her mouth, trying to suppress the pain in her heart.

Brett was outside, on the phone with the lawyer, asking someone to draw up the divorce agreement.

He called the same Mr. Dixon as before. When Mr. Dixon heard the words "divorce paper", he was taken aback.

They had just fought a case in court, and Brett didn't want to get a divorce. Why did he suddenly want one now?

Was that divorce case fought in vain?

Mr. Dixon didn't know what Brett was thinking. After receiving the call, he hurriedly got up, got dressed, grabbed his laptop, and rushed to Crystal Bay Mansions.

The road was not congested in the middle of the night. The normally one-hour trip took Mr. Dixon only forty minutes.

The divorce agreement was drafted according to Brett's wishes. After printing the document, Brett took it to the bedroom.

"Take a look at the agreement. If you have any problems, point them out and I'll have the lawyer change it."

Izabella unfolded the agreement and carefully read it section by section. It wasn't the first time she had dealt with a divorce agreement. The one drawn up by the lawyer before was similar to this one, differing only in the division of marital assets.

Izabella had unknowingly flipped to the last page, looking at the alimony column.
