Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 208

Izabella had a dream, and in it she saw Ryker, who was smiling at her and reaching out his hand. When she reached out to hold his hand, a cold wind blew through the gaps in Ryker's fingers, and the chill passed through Izabella's fingers.

"Bella, I can't carry you home this time. You have to find your way back on your own."

Izabella looked at Ryker's face, his smile gradually becoming transparent, as if it could fade away with the wind at any moment.

"Ryker, I won't cry, I don't need you to carry me, just don't leave me. I have nothing left but a thought from more than ten years ago. I've been wrong for sixteen whole years. Please don't let me keep making mistakes."

The pain hurt so much. The wind in her dream seemed to turn into knives, tearing her to pieces. Her body was shattered, but the pain in her heart was even worse.

She lay on the ground, her fingers nailed to the ground with steel needles, blood flowing all around her. She could do nothing but watch Ryker get shot in the chest; she couldn't even stop the kidnappers from throwing him into the sea.

The dream changed, and she was tied to a cross, with a man wearing a ghost king mask. His brown eyes were filled with a strange glow, and he had a syringe full of transparent liquid that he injected into her bloodstream.

He controlled her and watched her body freeze as she was branded with dry ice.

"Don't touch me, it hurts so much, please kill me. Brett, save me, don't send me out. Brett, why won't you answer my calls, please answer, I'm begging you." Her body trembled violently in pain.

What kind of sin did she commit to receive this punishment? She just wanted to live a good life and marry the boy she fell in love with when she was young.

She longed for a normal life, hoping to smile every day, but at this moment, she was destroyed by the man she had been married to for five years.

Time and time again, she fell into despair and pain, learning to comfort herself and be strong. She never thought about how brilliant life could be; she just wanted to get through the rest of her days peacefully. So why could life be so cruel to her?

Tears streamed down her face, and Izabella let out a cry from her throat, "It hurts."

Standing by the bedside, Brett's heart raced uncontrollably, and fear washed over him like waves. He quickly pressed the bell to call for the doctor.

Within two minutes, several doctors hurried over.

"Mr. Windham, what's the issue?"

"She just cried out in pain."

The head doctor wiped the cold sweat from his face and performed another series of tests on Izabella. After confirming that her body had returned to normal, he said, "Mr. Windham, your wife's brain nerves just responded. The pain is normal since she is no longer a vegetable."
