Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 256

When Brett heard a scream from the bathroom, he rushed in right away. Seeing Izabella lying on the floor, he felt like his soul was struck hard for a moment.

Before his brain could react, he hurriedly picked her up and took her to the nearest hospital.

The examination results weren't promising. Izabella's health had never been great, and though she'd been trying to hold on, her stomach was deteriorating step by step. Even the world's most advanced cancer drugs couldn't cure her, only providing some relief.

The strawberry cake she'd eaten almost killed her because she was allergic to strawberries.

As Brett recalled the past, he remembered how Izabella loved strawberries yet he never saw her eat them.

Izabella lay in bed, having the same dream from that night again. This time, the scene was clearer, and she could hear the man's voice.

The man in the white shirt walked up to her, holding a pink colored donut: "Cry Baby, eat this and don’t cry, alright?"

She could hear it clearly, but it wasn't Brett's voice.

Who was the man in her dream?

In her foggy state, the dream changed, and this time the man, lying in a pool of blood, told her, "I can't carry you home this time."

Izabella woke up in tears, who was the person in her dream? Why did it hurt so much just to think about it? Was it really only a dream? Why did it feel like a lifetime away, like she'd experienced it herself?

Izabella knew she had lost some important memories, unrelated to Brett, but she couldn't bring herself to tell him.

So when Brett anxiously asked her what was wrong, she lied and said she'd had a nightmare where she was about to die.

Brett's worry was real, maybe even too much, as if she were truly dying.

Izabella stayed in the hospital for a few more days before the doctor said she could go home to rest, then Brett took her back.

She still took her medicine on time, but she secretly didn't swallow the pill at night.

Brett seemed to care more about the white pill she took at night, always watching her swallow it.

Izabella threw the pill in her mouth and quietly held it against her rear teeth with her tongue while drinking water. As soon as Brett left, she quickly spit the pill into the toilet and rinsed her mouth until the bitterness was gone.

She'd always been suspicious of what that pill at night was for. They said it was a treatment for her nerves and memory restoration, but she felt more and more dizzy and forgetful.

She even got mad at Brett, saying she didn't want to take it at night, but he didn't agree and obviously forced her to.

Even if she said she could live without her memories, Brett still insisted she take the pill every day.

What kind of pill was it? Izabella had no clue since it was in a bottle without any labels, making it untraceable.

Once she started spitting out the pill secretly, Izabella found her brain didn't feel any discomfort at all, and her spirit was even better than before. She also dreamed clearer dreams every night.
