Izabella stepped out of the kitchen and her eyes deepen when she saw Brett sitting at the dining table. She adjusted the gloves on her hands and stretched her fingers.
The gloves were custom-made for her, with insulation, skid-proof and anti-shake features, making her grip even tighter.
Brett got Izabella a bowl of soup and placed it on her usual spot, saying, "It's been a while since I had your cooking."
Izabella sat down and says, "Well, eat up then."
Brett looked at her, surprised.
He didn't expect Izabella to respond to him.
"Alright, I'll definitely eat a lot," Brett's voice trembled with excitement.
Izabella looked at the soup in front of her and took a sip.
Izabella held the fork and quietly watched Brett's hand.
Handsome guys have nice-looking hands, with distinct joints, slender and powerful.
Izabella softly griped the fork in her hand and asked, "Can I look at your palm?"
Brett didn’t understand why, but he stretched out his left hand and spread it in front of her. Izabella tightly held his hand, then with a never-before-seen seriousness, she studied the lines on his hand.
Suddenly, Izabella's eyes changed and she stabbed the fork into Brett's hand.
Brett let out a painful scream, collapses onto the dining table, and the two dishes closest to him fell to the ground, mixing together.
His face turned pale and his body shivered, gasping with cold breaths.
Brett gritted his teeth, staring at Izabella, his eyes turning slightly red.
Izabella took off her gloves and threw them into the trash, indifferently saying, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. But I can't help it, I'm not right in the head, I'm sick." After all, Brett treated her as a crazy person and fed her nerve-damaging drugs every day.
Brett's eyes became a mixture of disbelief and realization, although he didn't expect Izabella to make a move on him again here.
The pain made him a bit uncomfortable.
Everyone at home heard the noise and rushed in, Adrian being the first to react to call emergency services.
Katie went upstairs for the first aid kit to treat Brett's wound. Brett knelt on the floor, his entire arm throbbing with pain.
When dinner time arrived, Niki always ran to the dining room. It didn’t know what had happened and stared with its big blue eyes. Izabella called Niki over, holding it in her arms and scratching its chin.
"Does it hurt?" Izabella looked down at Brett's pathetic figure and couldn’t help but scoff.
"Your pain is nothing compared to a thousandth of mine. I'm actually someone who can't stand pain. When my stomach hurts, it makes me cry. And when I had a miscarriage, the pain was like my insides were being rearranged. A pain you'll never experience in your life."
