"Let's go downstairs for some grub."
Izabella just woke up, completely clueless about what's been happening online. The whole world knew that Casey's got the hots for Izabella, but she's the only one still in the dark.
Izabella might be slow on the uptake regarding love, but she can feel Casey's special treatment. But both of them kept mum about it.
Casey knew that Izabella's got her sights set on her career and didn't want to get tangled up in love, so he kept his distance, giving her the space she needed so she won't feel pressured.
Izabella's been off the grid for a while. Once the online buzz died down, his heartfelt post will also fade away.
"Rachel's been brought to R City." After finishing their meal, Casey casually mentioned clearing the table and heading to the kitchen.
Izabella followed him in, intending to lend a hand, but froze at Casey's statement.
"Where?"
"You want to see her now?"
Izabella glanced outside, "When did your people bring her here?"
"Five in the afternoon."
Casey deposited the dishes into the sink, answering while starting the water. By the time Izabella processed his words, he was already washing.
Izabella reached out her hand, and Casey immediately moved the faucet so she could wash her hands.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" She asked while washing her hands.
"You had just fallen asleep, and you were out like a light. I didn't want to wake you. If you want to see her now, I can take you." Casey explained.
"Where is she?"
"Not here, but it's a stone's throw away. A ten-minute drive, tops. I've got eyes on her. She's in a storeroom."
The weather's not too chilly at night, and the storeroom is safe enough.
Having washed her hands, Izabella took the freshly washed dishes from Casey, dried them with a towel, and put them away in the cupboard. They had a good rhythm going when it came to doing the dishes.
"Let's go see her tomorrow morning. Get some rest tonight. No more burning the midnight oil."
Although this was her problem, Casey seemed to be busier. She had said she wanted to deal with it herself, but he had done so much for her without her realizing it.
What if he did too much and she didn't know what to do? What if she got used to his help and couldn't handle being without him?
