Chapter 52 

Clara got up and poured herself a glass of water, then walked to the window and looked outside. 

At this moment, she felt like she was in a dream 

She was filled with fear and helplessness as she remembered the past. During her ten months of pregnancy, she would often burst into tears at the thought of having to part with her child once he was born! 

Luckily, the doctor later told her she was having twins, and she begged him to keep it a secret. That doctor was Elio, who was on shift that day. 

That was when they first met! 

Over the years, Clara always felt like she owed Ello a favor, but she never had anything to repay him with. 

Sighing. Clara turned back to pick up her phone. 

She wanted to call Aiden. She couldn’t contain her desire to see her son any longer, but… 

But she was afraid she would cause trouble for Aiden! 

He displayed a level of maturity and understanding similar to Emmett, which tugged at Clara’s heartstrings. Letting out another sigh, she set her phone down. 

Aiden had instructed her to wait, implying that there must be a reason for the delay. Clara knew she should exercise patience and give it a little more time. However, despite her intentions, her eyes kept glancing at her phone. She had never yearned so desperately for it to ring. 

Suddenly… 

The sound of her phone’s ringtone pierced through the stillness of the night. Clara swiftly picked up her phone and answered eagerly, “Hello?”

Mommy! It’s Aiden, came the voice on the other end. 

“I know! Are you ready? I’m coming over right now!” Clara replied with urgency 

“In about half an hour, meet me at the back door of the Melendez family’s house!” Aiden instructed. 

Clara bit her lower lip, attempting to steady her trembling voice. “Okay! I’m on my way, wait a minute!” 

After hanging up, Clara rushed out of the house, forgetting to even change out of her slippers! 

She was already at the door when she turned back to quickly put on a pair of sneakers and headed for the Melendez family’s house! 

Meanwhile, at the Melendez’s company. 

Since the banquet ended early today, Emmett drove to the company to finish going through the documents he hadn’t finished reading during the day 

Just as he opened his computer, he heard a knock on the door 

He got up and walked over, “Ricardo? You haven’t finished work yet?” 

Ricardo was his secretary at the Melendez Group. 

“Yes, Mr. Melendez, I have found some details about the child you asked me to investigate” 

Emmett immediately said, “Tell me everything.” 

“I found that this kid has been seen at these few restaurants! The surveillance shows him entering and leaving.” 

Emmett took a look… 

Why were they all fast food places like McDonald’s! 

“Any other information?” 

“Not for now! As soon as I found this out, I rushed to tell you. Also… 

Ricardo hesitated. 

Emmett frowned, “Spit it out.” 

“Also… I think someone trás been deliberately erasing this child’s information! If he has appeared in this city, there should be more than just this bit of video surveillance! Someone must have deleted it through the internet!”
