Kaley looked at the hand grabbing her wrist, her face a bit displeased. "Why didn't Izabella tell Brett about her bastard child?"
Brett hates betrayal the most, and if he knew that Izabella was carrying someone else's child, he would definitely be pissed off.
Kaley's clear eyes suddenly became murky, like a venomous snake lurking in the leaves.
Trista said, "Ms. Cornett, how can you prove that the child in Izabella's belly is a bastard?"
"Well..." Kaley hesitated. "She's hiding it from Brett and not telling him."
If she were pregnant, she would be eager to tell Brett, so how could she be so careful about concealing it, afraid of being discovered?
This behavior of Izabella's was very suspicious.
"Ms. Cornett, that doesn't prove anything. What if she doesn't want to tell President Windham because she's worried about miscarrying? By calling President Windham and telling him this, you might be doing her a favor."
Kaley fell into deep thought and began to calm down.
"So, what should I do?" She couldn't bear Izabella carrying Brett's child, just thinking about it made her want to go crazy!
Was she never going to stand next to Brett for the rest of her life?
Seeing Kaley calming down, Trista released her and thought for a moment before saying, "I do have an idea that will make her miscarry and get President Windham to dislike her. But it may require your help a bit..."
"What is it?"
"President Windham is coming back for lunch today, and you should..." Trista whispered to Kaley.
Kaley's expression gradually became solemn, and she bit her lip. After Trista finished talking, she made up her mind.
Izabella was reading in the garden, feeling sleepy and nauseous due to her early pregnancy. The sunlight cast on her made her want to sleep. She found a comfortable position in the rocking chair with her eyes half-closed, her hand gently placed on her belly.
Suddenly, she felt a movement in her stomach, awakening her. She had only been pregnant for six weeks, and it was impossible for her to feel the baby moving.
But the feeling she just had was like the baby was kicking her. She touched her belly, her heart pounding, and a look of attachment came into her eyes.
Izabella checked the time, and it was just past eleven. She planned to have lunch outside and go to the orphanage to pick up the gifts the kids had sent her, as well as to see Ryker.
She promised to buy Ryker some delicious food, but she didn't know what he liked to eat. What should she buy?
The scene of Ryker giving her a whole bag of cookies popped into her mind, and she couldn't help but smile, already having an idea.
Izabella stretched her stiff body, patted the fallen leaves off her shoulder, and went back to the villa with her book.
She went upstairs to change into a dress, put on some light makeup, and pulled her long hair up into a bun. Her lips were naturally pink without lipstick, so she only applied some lip balm.
