Sensing that Hannah was no longer following him, the man turned around and walked up to her.

Closing the door with his foot, he leaned against the wall next to her as he lit up a cigarette. “I’m guessing you came to me today because you were going to agree to my suggestion, but you’re having second thoughts, aren’t you?”

His family had a close relationship with Hannah’s family, and he had liked her ever since they were children.

He always treated her like his future wife, but she never reciprocated his feelings.
