But Rhett wasn't afraid of Hera. Once someone was in his hands, they wouldn't escape his control.
Rachel was in disbelief. "Mr. Rhett…"
"Scram!" Rhett snapped.
Rachel realized Rhett was serious and glared at Hera sinisterly.
Hera, however, was indifferent. She turned to enter the courtyard and followed Rhett into the study.
"This is the contract. You can take a look first," Rhett said bluntly, pulling three contracts from a drawer and handing them to Hera.
Hera set them aside. "Tell me what you know first."
Rhett looked at her arrogant attitude, and for a split second, felt an overwhelming urge to kill her. But he knew better than to let his emotions take control of him.
He took a sip of tea and forced down his thoughts before saying calmly, "Chad forbade us from talking about Lucius. But since you're Daphne's daughter, and considering our relationship, I'll make an exception and tell you. But you must never speak of it to anyone else."
Hera watched his feigned sincerity coldly. "Continue."
Rhett's brows twitched, but he continued, "Daphne's death wasn't an accident. She was murdered, but it was made to look like an accident."
Hera hadn't expected him to be so blunt. Before this, the Killians and the police had both insisted that Daphne died in an accident.
