"You should speak about this with Rhett. It's no use telling me since I'm not their HR, nor am I responsible for recruiting talent," Hera calmly answered.
"I know. That's why I'm here to tell you that I've already signed a contract with them," Tyler replied while raising a glass to Hera. "Let us work together and defeat Bernard."
Hera was speechless, having never heard him to be so determined before. She recalled Bernard telling her about Tyler working with Rhett and asked, "When did you sign the contract?"
Tyler gazed at her mysteriously. "Are you trying to find out my secrets?"
Hera was speechless. It wasn't even considered a secret if Tyler came over in a hurry to tell her about it.
Tyler drank the wine in one gulp before getting up and continued, "It's not like I can't tell you. Come and accompany me to a banquet, and I'll tell you all about it."
"What banquet?" Hera asked.
"My father's birthday party."
"I'm not going," Hera rejected.
"No, you must accompany me. Since Bernard has found a girlfriend, I've got to bring someone else with me. Otherwise, my father will arrange for me to go for a matchmaking." Tyler stepped forward and grabbed Hera's wrist, not allowing her to leave.
Hera wanted to free herself from his grip, but he was too strong, and she couldn't break free. She was rather speechless. "What does that have to do with me? Find someone else."
Bernard had a girlfriend, but Tyler wanted to bring Hera, Bernard's girlfriend, to the banquet. No, she was Bernard's ex-girlfriend. What kind of logic was this?
"I want him to see who I'm interested in. That way, he'll stop arranging matchmaking services for me," Tyler answered.
Hera smirked. "Are you sure you won't be beaten to death?"
