As Hera and Bernard fell on the bed, he took the fall for her. Thus, she remained on top while he lay beneath her. She had picked up on his gesture, making her heart skip a beat.
Perhaps she could trust him on one thing—he once said he would never hurt her.
Bernard realized that Hera did not push him away. She even wrapped her arms around his neck and returned his kisses, making him feel thrilled. Did that mean she was willing to be with him again?
Ever since he moved out from the western wing, he could only pray every night to calm himself down.
While on top of Bernard, Hera was left in a daze from his kisses. She had taken off his suit jacket and was beginning to unbuckle his belt.
Without a doubt, it was an invitation from her. Bernard felt hot all over as he held Hera in his arms. He flipped her over and pinned her beneath him before deepening the kiss, lighting her up everywhere.
By then, Hera had already removed his belt. As she was about to undo his buttons, Bernard nibbled her ear with a light chuckle. "So, we aren't breaking up anymore?"
Hera paused as she stared at Bernard in a daze. How could he stop at such a crucial moment? She reached to undo the buttons on his shirt.
"We've not had breakup sex before. We'll make up for that by sleeping together now. Then, we'll have broken up for good."
Her words "broken up for good" seemed to douse all of him like cold water.
At that moment, Bernard, who had been affected by the aphrodisiac, suddenly came to his senses. His wandering hands all over her body also came to a stop.
He held back the discomfort throughout his body while pushing her hands away with a solemn expression. "We won't sleep together, then! I'm not breaking up with you."
Hera watched Bernard quickly get off the bed. To avoid running into Tiramisu, who had barged into the room, he stumbled out unsteadily as if he were drunk.
