Everly left Youngworth Miracle and walked back to Forever Clinic in the rain. Suddenly, someone covered her mouth from behind.

It happened so swiftly that before she could react, a sack was worn over her head. A sharp pain stung from her nape, and she fainted.

Half an hour later, someone poured cold water on her to wake her up. She found herself in a run-down house. Standing before was a group of fierce-looking men.

Her face lost its color as she shrunk in a corner, her eyes looking at them fearfully.

"Everly Pierce, do you know why we kidnapped you here?" The leading man, Samuel Palmer, grazed his thumb over a knife. One of his eyes was covered.

She gulped at the sight of the big knife before pleading, "Could you give me a few more days? I'll return you the money after selling off those herbs."

"It's been three days past the agreed date! You know what happens when you can't pay us back, don't you?" Samuel threw the knife onto the cutting board on the table.
