After speaking, Hera headed toward the car parked by the side, where Wayne awaited her and Johnson.
Johnson followed her, feeling somewhat discouraged. "I'm really sorry. I thought I could…"
"No need to apologize. I've already found an operating room." After getting into the car, Hera took out her phone and started texting.
From the start, she never expected Reinland Hospital to provide her with an operating room. But since Johnson was determined to try booking the place, she did not stop him.
Johnson was slightly astonished. "You've found a place? Where?"
"You'll know soon enough. Wayne, let's go," Hera spoke to Wayne, who was seated in the driver's seat, but he did not respond to her.
"Wayne?" Hera called again. This time, Wayne answered, "Oh, yes. Are we leaving now?"
Hera followed his gaze and noticed that Everly's Forever Clinic was not far ahead. Although the clinic was open, there weren't many patients inside.
As they drove past Forever Clinic, Everly was nowhere to be seen. She was likely afraid to show up at her clinic for fear of running into the loan sharks.

Marcus stood by the window of the deputy director's office. He looked down at the hospital entrance, where Johnson had followed Hera into the car before leaving. Marcus' inscrutable gaze did not reveal any emotion.
"Mr. Chime Senior would be furious if he knew about this, Mr. Chime," the deputy director beside Marcus reminded him.
In fact, it wouldn't affect the hospital much if they merely provided an operating room and some medical equipment. On the contrary, it would generate headlines that Hera was collaborating with Reinland Hospital. That might even boost the stock prices.
But Marcus refused to do so. The Chime family and Hera had been at odds with each other ever since Hera sent Camille to prison.
