Thiago's eyes lit up at the sight of Hera in Bernard's arms. "Hera! You're actually here!" He grinned, revealing his teeth in a goofy way.
But his joy only lasted three seconds when he finally realized that Bernard was holding Hera in his arms. Thiago hurried forward and exclaimed, "Who are you! Quickly let go of my Hera!"
Hera noticed Thiago approaching her. She really did not expect that he would come looking for her. Not only did she feel tired and hungry, but she suddenly also felt a headache coming on.
Bernard was slightly taller than Thiago. He looked down at him with sarcasm flashing in his eyes. "Your Hera?"
"Exactly!" Thiago looked rather solemn while rambling on, "She's my Hera! We've known each other for a long time!
"When we were kids, my father and her grandmother planned for us to get married in the future. That makes her my fiancée!"
As the words "planned for us to get married" and "fiancée" left Thiago's mouth, Hera could clearly feel Bernard becoming more unfriendly than ever. He was definitely overthinking this.
That happened when Hera was just a child. She used to often accompany Catherine when she went to sell herbs to Thiago's father, Justin Mayall.
After becoming close with one another, Justin jokingly suggested to Catherine that they could become in-laws by arranging a marriage for Hera and Thiago.
Hearing that explanation made Nicholas stare in horror. A fiancé? It was bad enough that Hera had a boyfriend. Where did this fiancé come from?
"So, whoever you are, quickly let go of my fianceé!" Thiago continued with a frown, looking rather anxious. He wanted to push Bernard away, but he was also afraid of hurting Hera.
Bernard smirked coldly when he noticed Thiago was getting antsy. "I'm her boyfriend," he emphasized each word as if he were showing off.
When Thiago heard that, he remained rooted to the spot in shock. Even the white roses in his arms fell to the ground.
"Hera, you already have a boyfriend! Why didn't you wait for me? You already have a boyfriend! Do you not want me anymore? How could you not want me? You can't not want me! I don't allow it…"
Hera was getting a headache from Thiago's non-stop chattering. She struggled out of Bernard's arms and snapped, "Shut up! Go back to the South if you're going to be so annoying."
Thiago immediately shut his mouth and towed the suitcase behind him. He looked at Hera innocently. "But I brought the medicinal ingredients for you."
Hera rubbed her temples. She had asked him to deliver them via express delivery, but he insisted on personally bringing them over.
