Unexpected Encounter with my Boss novel Chapter 200

Vincent accepted the call and put it on speaker mode.

Charles' voice immediately filled the car. "How are you going to thank me?"

"I don't plan to," Vincent replied as he drove.

Charles chuckled, and the sound of a car honking rang out twice from his end of the line—but at the same time, the car behind Vincent's also honked twice.

Tiffany looked behind in confusion and realized that the car was sticking close to Vincent's. Only then did she belatedly realize Charles was in the car behind them!

Vincent cut the call off.

After driving out of the neighborhood, Vincent made it seem like he was going to make a right turn. But at the very last minute, he made a sharp left turn.

By the time Charles realized what happened, Vincent's car was no longer in sight.

"Screw you, Vincent! What a bastard," he said with a chuckle before driving off.

Once the two cars were gone, another car slowly exited the neighborhood. Ivy was driving while Kelly was sitting in the front passenger seat beside her.

"What's going on?" Ivy asked curiously. "Didn't Tiffany resign? Why did she show up here?"

Although Kelly was frowning, her expression remained fairly neutral. "Maybe they ran into each other by coincidence."

"By coincidence?" Ivy repeated. She thought Kelly was just trying to fool herself.

She added, "Well, to me, it looked like they'd agreed to meet up here. Kelly, didn't you say Mr. Lewis would be coming over to pick you up? Why did he say something came up at the last minute?

"And, why would Tiffany just so happen to be standing at a spot where he was bound to drive by? Even if it had been a coincidence, why would he take her hand? Why would he pull her into the car? Kelly, are you sure you handled things with Tiffany?"

Kelly's expression darkened. Biting her lip, she eventually declared, "I trust Vincent."
