Eileen thought about it. 'Sherman is right."
Eileen hung up. The sadness and dissatisfaction were erased from her mind. She sneered.
I have felt wrong for eight years while he has just experienced it for several months. I'm still angry with him. How dare he want me to go to the airport to stop him?'
'I have given him an out, but he even wants to swim all over me!'
'Does he think that I'm the same as before?’
'I ask him to stay not because I want to rekindle the romance but because I can't take care of Brad anymore.'
'Even if he will leave tomorrow, I won’t stop him.' 'I will tell him my condition and ask him to take care of Brad. Then I will have nothing to worry about.'
That night, Luke called Kingsley to drink.
At 9 p.m., Kingsley hadn't arrived yet. Luke had arrived first. The table in front of him was filled with wine. He beamed with pleasure.
Kingsley arrived and sat opposite Luke. Kingsley asked, "Why are you so happy today?"
Luke said, "I'm very happy...” He narrowed his eyes, poured the wine and wore a smile all the time like an idiot.
Kingsley said, "What has happened?"
Kingsley picked up the glass of wine and shook it gently. The wine rippled in the glass.
Luke said, "She told me that Brad needed me."
He smiled brightly and added, "She said that she got engaged to Ruben to help him. She didn't love him!"
Kingsley knew these things earlier than Luke, so he didn't feel surprised at all.
Kingsley asked, "Then what about you?
What did you say?"
