A Vengeful Bride novel Chapter 535

"Joanna, tell me. Did you quarrel with Cedric?"

Seeing Joanna like this, Mignon could only guess.

Logically speaking, Joanna and Cedric loved each other very much. They had suffered a lot to fall in love with each other and get married. No matter what kind of difficulty they experienced, they gritted their teeth and came through. There shouldn't be any problem with their love.

However, Mignon's heart suddenly sank when she saw Joanna like this.

"Mignon, Cedric doesn't love me anymore." Joanna raised her head and said bitterly as she looked at Mignon.

"What... did you say?" Mignon's heart suddenly trembled. She opened her eyes wide as she looked at Joanna and shook her head with confusion.

Cedric didn't love Joanna anymore? How could it be possible?

When Cedric was young, he was indeed romantic in love. However, since he met Joanna and fell in love with her, he had changed. He never had mistresses again.

Kerr was almost eight years old, how could Cedric change his love for Joanna?

"You don't believe me?" Seeing that Mignon didn't believe her, Joanna smiled bitterly.

"Joanna, you must get it wrong." After coming to sense, Mignon looked at Joanna and said seriously.

"Everyone doesn't believe it. In fact, I don't believe it either, but... I saw it." Joanna took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down. Then she looked at Mignon and said.

"What did you see?" Mignon asked again.

"Cedric and that woman were kissing."

"What?" This matter sounded a little abnormal.

Joanna saw Cedric kissing another woman with her own eyes.

However, she might have misunderstood Cedric. Perhaps, that woman kissed Cedric on purpose.

Just as Mignon was about to say this, Joanna interrupted her words.

"She didn't do it on purpose. It's true... They were kissing. I stood at the door of the office and wanted to find Cedric, but I saw him holding the woman and kissing her on the sofa. No one forced him and it was not the woman's scheme. Cedric was willing to do that."

"There might be... some misunderstanding... about this matter." Mignon didn't know why Cedric kissed that woman for the time- being. She could only comfort Joanna in this way.

Joanna looked at Mignon, stood up, and said with sorrow, "Maybe, no matter how much he used to love me, he has changed. Men tend to get tired of the same body easily and are always looking for something fresh."

Joanna was envious of Edward's love for Ashley. Although Edward had done a lot of wrong things, everyone knew that he loved Ashley so much. No matter how many years it had been, Edward had always been loyal to Ashley, which was something that many men couldn't do.

Joanna was deeply envious of Edward and Ashley's pure love. She even felt that she and Cedric would be as loving as Edward and Ashley.

However, things went contrary to her wishes. What she was worried about the most had happened.

"Joanna, talk to Cedric about this. Maybe you've misunderstood him."

Looking at the determination on Joanna's face, Mignon thought for a while and felt that there was something strange about this matter.

The most important thing between husband and wife was to be honest.

Only in this way could their relationship go any further.

"I'll go upstairs first." Joanna did not answer Mignon's words. She said to Mignon blandly, then got up and left.

Looking at Joanna's back, Mignon knitted her brows.

What the hell was going on with this matter? Would Cedric really betray Joanna? Mignon didn't believe it at all.

At seven o'clock in the evening, the servants finished cooking and waited for them to go downstairs for dinner.

Mignon held Chester in her arms and came downstairs. Kerr was downstairs, but she didn't see Joanna.

Nacho was going to entertain clients at night, so he told Mignon in advance that he wouldn't come back for dinner. As for Cedric, he should be busy so he didn't come back at night.

Therefore, only Mignon, Kerr and Joanna had dinner at home.

Mignon didn't see Joanna in the dinning room, so she asked Kerr, who was sitting beside her, "Kerr, where's your mom?"

"Mom said that she is not feeling well and let us eat by ourselves." Kerr shook his head and said with a serious expression.

"Kerr, go upstairs and ask her to have dinner." Looking at Kerr with worried eyes, Mignon said again.

Kerr nodded obediently and ran upstairs again to ask Joanna to have dinner. Five minutes later, he came down and shook his head at Mignon, "Mom asked us to eat, she said that she is very tired now. She has no appetite."

"I see. Kerr, are you hungry?" Mignon looked at Kerr's clever face and asked with particularly soft gaze.

"I'm so hungry." Kerr nodded. He touched his growling belly and looked at Mignon, saying.

"Then sit here and eat with Ches. I'll go to see your mother, okay?" Mignon said to Kerr helplessly.

"Okay." Kerr nodded and held Chester in his arms.

Mignon was relieved with Kerr taking care of Chester. She went upstairs and went straight to Joanna and Cedric's bedroom. She knocked on the door, but no one answered. Mignon knew that Joanna didn't want anyone to disturb her at the moment.

"Joanna, why don't you go down for dinner?" Mignon pushed open the door and walked in. When she saw Joanna lying on the bed with her eyes wide open in a daze, she asked with concern.

Joanna raised her head and glanced at Mignon. There was a hint of disappointment and vexation in her eyes as she said, "I don't want to eat, and I have no appetite."

"How can you not eat? Joanna, you can't... be like this."
