A Vengeful Bride novel Chapter 541

"Are you crazy? How can you drink here?" Angrily, Aneirin found Cedric in the bar. Seeing that Cedric was holding a glass of wine and drinking, Aneirin flew off the handle.

"Anyway, I will die soon." Cedric smiled in a self-mocking way. He took the glass from Aneirin's hand indifferently.

Hearing Cedric's words, Aneirin's face darkened to the extreme.

"Don't you believe my medical skills? As I said, as long as you listen to me, you still have a chance to live."

"Aneirin, how many patients have you said these words to?" Cedric looked at Aneirin calmly and asked with a sneer in his face.

Hearing this, Aneirin's face was extremely tense, he clenched her fingers into fists.

"You don't even know how many people you've said these words to. Do you think I should believe what you said?" Cedric looked at Aneirin coldly and then drank up a whole bottle of beer in one gulp.

Seeing that Cedric had given up on himself, Aneirin grabbed his own hair helplessly and said, "Don't give up if there is still a chance. I've told you that as long as...we can remove the tumor in your head, you're likely to survive."

"There is only a 1% probability that I'll survive, and there is a 99% probability that I'll die."

"Cedric." Aneirin felt bitter in his heart when he looked at Cedric's cold but rational face.

Aneirin really didn't know how to persuade Cedric when he saw how indifferent Cedric was.

Cedric opened his mouth and muttered, "Anyway, I've arranged everything. I have transferred all my property to Joanna and Kerr. With those properties, they won't be bullied by others. I can rest assured because Nacho will take care of them."

"Aren't you going to tell Nacho about your illness?" Aneirin looked at Cedric sadly and asked.

It was very cruel for Cedric to hurt Joanna in such a ruthless way.

However, Cedric had no choice but to treat Joanna in such a cold-blooded way.

Compared to death, it was nothing.

"She will cry."

Cedric shook his head with his face full of sorrow which Aneirin couldn't understand.

"Fool Joanna, although she is strong on the surface, I know that she is fragile in her heart. I don't want her to cry."

"So, you force her to leave you, right?"

Aneirin sighed deeply, and his eyes were full of compassion.

"This is... the best outcome for her."

Cedric stood up unsteadily, pressed his painful head and said to Aneirin.

"Cedric, don't give up so quickly. I haven't given up yet. I will find a treatment method for you."

Aneirin looked at Cedric's back and exclaimed.

Cedric's body was staggering. Aneirin didn't know if he had heard what he said.

Cedric gradually disappeared in Aneirin's eyesight. Aneirin felt so depressed. He picked up the beer on the table and drank it fast.

Cedric was his best friend, and he was suffering a great blow.

How could Aneirin give up so easily? He would never give up finding a way to cure Cedric.

When Cedric staggered back to the villa, there was no one in the living room. The light in the living room was very dark and gloomy, making him feel inexplicably lonely and sad. He fumbled the switch, endured the splitting headache and stumbled toward the living room.

"You're back." Just as Cedric was staring at the living room with blurred eyes, Joanna's clear voice suddenly sounded.

The moment Cedric heard Joanna's voice, his body became exceptionally tense, as if he was stimulated by something.

He pursed his lips and looked at Joanna who got up from the sofa with serious eyes. He felt a little bitter and sombre in his heart.

Joanna was very beautiful that night. She wore a long white cotton

dress, with her hair hanging loose over her shoulders. She stared at Cedric with a pair of big and watery eyes, making Cedric think of the shy and stubborn Joanna she used to be.

Sometimes, Cedric would think of the things that happened when he was young, he would think of Joanna's face when he first met her and how stubborn she used to be. When he thought of those things, he was so... sentimentally attached.

"Haven't you slept yet?" Cedric came to sense and asked Joanna indifferently with a straight face.

Joanna looked at Cedric and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm waiting for you to come back. Did you drink?"

Joanna walked to Cedric and smelled the strong smell of alcohol on his body, she felt so distressed in her heart.

Cedric glanced at Joanna and said apathetically, "Yes."
