A Vengeful Bride novel Chapter 97

"What do you mean?"

"Literal meaning."

"You b*tch, one day I will make you regret what you did to me today." Betty was so angry that her face turned red. She glared at me and growled.

After I heard that, I sneered and said, "Okay, I'll wait for you. I want to see how you will make me regret."

"Hmph." Betty glared at me angrily and then turned her head away. I was not in the mood to argue with her. I just wanted to figure out how to leave here.

If I wanted to leave here, perhaps... I would need her help.

"Betty."

"What?" Betty looked back impatiently and looked at me with displeasure on her beautiful face.

"Do you want to stay here and wait for Edward to come and save you? Or do you want to escape yourself?" I stared into her eyes and said coldly.

"What do you mean?" Betty looked at me confusedly and asked.

"These people don't want to kill us. If they wanted to kill us, they would’ve killed us on the way. So I think that they might want to use us to threaten Edward..."

"How can you be used to threaten Edward? The person they want to catch is me. I am the one who Edward loves most." Betty interrupted me and said coldly.

Why did Betty still quarrel with me about Edward? I really didn't know what she was thinking about.

I looked at her speechlessly with a angry face, and I felt so anxious.

"Shut up!" I roared, and Betty stopped talking. She stared at me with an extremely angry expression.

"We must get out of here. You should understand what I am talking about, right?" I looked at her with a cold face and said impatiently.

"What do you want to do?" Betty glared at me and said reluctantly.

"They won't guard us carefully, because we are women. After dark, we can..." I whispered in Betty's ear and told her my plan.

We couldn't wait for death here. We could only leave here by ourselves.

As the sky began to darken, Betty and I were both starving.

I rubbed my stomach, and I was so hungry. I was quietly waiting for the men who had caught us to come in.

However, after waiting for a long time, these people did not come to see us. Did they really intend to lock us up here and leave us alone?

It happened that the window was so high that I couldn't climb up. I didn't know what was going on outside. I tried to pull the door, but it couldn't be opened at all. There was a curb chain, and I couldn't see anyone in the crack of the door. I didn't know where those people were.

"Ashley, can your stomach stop growling?" Betty looked at me with displeasure and looked at me sarcastically.

As if it was a shameful thing to be hungry.

I took a look at her and said coldly, "Your stomach is also growling. Stop it."

"Do you think I'm like you? You don't have any upbringings. I'm the princess of the Fang family..."

"Gulp." Before she could finish her words, her stomach growled loudly. After hearing it, I laughed immediately. Betty was irritated by my laughter and stared at me fiercely.

"Ashley, are you laughing at me now?"

Laughing at her? She was really good at imaging.

I looked at her with a sneer and said sarcastically, "You can think like this. But if I were you, I would save my strength and would not be as noisy as you

are.

"What did you say? How dare you scold me..."

"What are you arguing about?" Betty was about to refute me angrily. At this time, the iron gate was opened.

I saw the man who pulled us into the car came in with a lunch box in his hand.

He looked at us with displeasure, then he threw the lunch box on the ground.

I looked at the lunch box on the ground and my stomach was growling. Then I picked up the lunch box and started to eat.

"Both of you are Edward's women." The man did not leave immediately, but sat not far away from us and asked us.

Before I could answer no, Betty had already said arrogantly, "Since you know that I am Edward's, quickly let me go."

"Oh? You are Edward's fiancee." After hearing this, the man seemed to look at Betty with interest.

I looked at the man doubtfully and didn't understand what he wanted to do.
