Long ago, when Larry told her Abelyn didn't have good intentions, she believed Larry's words wholeheartedly. But given that Abelyn hadn't caused any harm after such a long time, she began to have her doubts.
"Do you have anything to do with this?" Larry bellowed, unable to contain his anger.
"No!" Abelyn asserted.
Her instantaneous reply makes it even more suspicious. With a frustrated expression, Larry turned to look out the window with his eyes squinted.
Her response had told him what he needed to know. Why did she commit such a vile act against one of her best friends?Thump!
Larry slammed his fist into the wall. The next moment, blood started oozing out of his fingers, giving Jessica a shock.
"Larry! What are you doing!" She hurried over and grabbed his sleeve.
"Alright now, let's put this aside for the moment. We'll continue when Joan is awake," she remarked anxiously while giving Larry a gentle nudge.
"Caspian!" Suddenly an insidious voice rang out, giving everyone a headache. As for Jessica, she was suddenly filled with dread.
Of all times, why does this damned woman have to cause trouble now? Clenching his fists, Caspian tried to calm himself down to face the impending problem.
"Caspian, I feel terrible," Lisa exclaimed as she approached, pretending to be in pain.
Since you're not feeling well, you should see the doctor. What the point in looking for me? Caspian took a deep breath with his eyes filled with disdain.
"You should see the doctor. I can't do anything to help you," Caspian snapped in an indifferent tone.
