Oh? She's twisting the facts, what a b*tch. That wasn't what she promised me.
Back then, Abelyn was in a rush and promised to pay the man five hundred grand whether he succeeded or failed.
But now, Abelyn was lying or had forgotten about it. Right now, she refused to admit to it.
"I recorded our conversation back then. You'd better transfer the money, or I shall throw you into the sea!" the man threatened.
HalWho is he trying to bluff?Does he think I'm a coward?
Abelyn was very experienced in the corporate world, so she wasn't afraid of his threat. Instead, she averted her gaze and stared out of the
window, ignoring him altogether.
She isn't going to pay me.
The man inched nearer to her and lifted her chin, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Are you going to pay me or not?"
"No!" came Abelyn's firm reply before she shut her eyes.
Alright, then.I won't hold back either.
The man whipped out a sharp knife and sharpened in on the table menacingly.
Abelyn instantly started quaking in her boots. Is he seriously going to kill me because I didn't pay him that five hundred grand?
Fear flickered past her eyes. Shit, am I going to die in his hands?
All the man wanted was for Abelyn to pay the remaining five hundred thousand. Suddenly, something occurred to him. Wait, she doesn't have the money, but perhaps her friend might be loaded!
He ordered his men, "Go there and find her phone."
Shortly after, Abelyn's phone was delivered to him.
